"Next time won't you sing with me." I heard Col finish.  She had been trying to block AJ from going into his kitchen for the past few minutes.

"Okay Col, bring him in." Nick yelled.

"Okay, AJ, no questions asked… go into the kjtchen and sit down." Col said, as AJ sat on a kitchen chair.  She took a seat next to him and gave me the thumbs up sign.

"Welcome to 'What I Should've Done' starring me as myself, and Nick Carter as AJ McLean.  Please be seated and enjoy." I laughed, as I sat next to Nick at the table we had set up.

"I say we get some McDonald's." Nick giggled, trying to sound like AJ.

"Well you can have McDonald's, but I'm gonna go and get some pizza."

"Okay." Nick, again trying to sound like AJ, replied.

As we pretended to purchase the food, I tried to give Nick the same look I had given AJ.

"What sweetie?" Nick asked.

"We need napkins, but I'll go get them." I said.

"Okay baby."

I managed to sneak a glance at AJ… he was smiling.

"Act 2." Nick mumbled, walking over to the stack of shoes we placed on another table.

"We've been picking shoes out for nearly two hours AJ.  Found any you like yet?"

"Nope."

"Okay, well let me try to help.  How about these?" I asked, holding a pair of sneakers in the air.

"Oh those are great.  Thanks for your help."

"You're welcome AJ." I said, smiling.

"And now the last scene.  AJ, come here for a minute." I mumbled, as AJ walked slowly over to me.  Nick sat down next to Colleen, and they both gave me reassuring smiles.

"AJ I know it seems like I don't appreciate everything you do for me, but I really do.  I am so grateful to have you in my life.  I thank God everyday for leading me to you.  You're everything I could ever hope for.  Thank you for everything and I love you sweetie."

"I love you too baby.  I always have, and I always will."

Nick and Col began clapping, and AJ pulled me in for a kiss.

"This makes me all warm inside." Nick joked.

"Sniff, sniff… I know." Col replied.  Soon, we were all hysterical laughing.

"Hey Nick, didn't you promise me pizza?" AJ said.

"Yep, it's in the dining room.  Lets eat!"  We all, literally, ran to the dining room, and grabbed a slice.

"I love you Cefi." AJ whispered in my ear.

"You better believe I love you too honey." I replied, kissing his cheek.

Nick's View

"Awww aren't they cute?" I whispered to Col.

"Yep, just the cutest." She replied, dryly.

"Do I sense a bit of jealousy?" I joked.

"No, but I wanna boyfriend!"

"Yeah well I wanna girlfriend, but you don't see me complaining." I mumbled.

"Nicky, you're constantly complaining about how you don't have someone, so shut your mouth."

"Okay, okay, chill kid.  Anyway, I think we should give these two lovebirds some time alone eh?" I said, giving AJ a playful nudge. 

"Oh yeah." AJ and Sophia said in unison.

"Thanks so much you guys." Cefi said, hugging me.

"Oh it was nothing.  I'm just glad to see you guys back together again." Col said.

"Ditto.  AJ what time's our flight tomorrow?" I asked.

"Uh, 9:30 AM."

"Okay, see you then."

"Later." AJ replied, closing the door behind us.

"You're coming with us to New York right?" I asked, once we were in my car.

"Hell yeah.  I couldn't stay away from you guys for a whole 4 days!"

"Awww what a sweet heart you are Collie."

"Oh I know it babes."

"Where to?"

"Uh, well… I gotta go home and pack and so do you Nick, so drop me off home.

"Alright."

"Here we are." I mumbled, "I'll walk you in."

"Okay sure."

As we walked into Colleen's house, I got this incredible urge to kiss her.  I've been getting those feelings a lot lately.  I really don't know why.  I love Colleen, but only as my friend… nothing more!  Damn, she looks hot… what the hell am I thinking?

"Nick, are you okay?" she asked, coming over to me.

"Um yeah, I'm f-fine."

All of a sudden, I couldn't fight the temptation anymore.

I cupped her chin in my hands, and kissed her.  I had her backed up against the wall.  The kiss was deepening and I began to put my hands up her shirt.  I could tell this wasn't what she felt like doing at the moment.  I lifted her up and placed her onto the couch.  I began to lift off her shirt.  My lips exploring her body. 

"Nick, get the fuck off of me!" she shouted, jumping up. 

"Col, oh my God, I'm so sorry.  It was just…"

"Get out!" she screamed, pushing me out the door. 

"Col, please can we talk about this?" I pleaded.

"Just leave me alone." She replied, slamming the door in my face.

"Shit." I mumbled, "Why did I have to go and do that?  I don't even have feelings for this girl!  She's my friend!  Am I that desperate for a girl?  I guess I am."

I guess I'll just have to explain tomorrow.  Maybe by that time I'll be able to explain it to myself.
