WHO DO YOU LOVE?
Prologue
Colleen's View

3 months later…

"I'm so tired, I gotta take a seat." I mumbled to myself, as I sat myself down at an empty table.

"Hey little lady."

I looked up to see Brian's smiling face.

"Hey Bri.  Beautiful wedding, wasn't it?"

"Yeah.  Who would've thought:  AJ and Sophia having a normal wedding!" he grinned.

"Okay everyone, before AJ and Sophia head to Italy… we have the last dance, so grab the lady of your choice." the DJ shouted into his microphone.

Brian grabbed my hand, and led me to the dance floor.  I wrapped my arms around his neck, as he slid his arms around my waist.

"You are, by far, the best looking girl here." he whispered, smiling.

"Thank you Mr. Littrell… you don't look so bad yourself."

"Aw, look at AJ and Sophia… how cute." he replied.

I glanced over at the married couple… they were kissing, and laughing.

"I only hope I'll be as happy as they are on my wedding day." I sighed.

"Hey guys, can we switch?" I heard Nick shout.

"Switch?" Brian mumbled.

"Yeah… you dance with Gwen, and I'll dance with Colleen.  I haven't danced with my bestest friend this whole night."

"Okay fine." Brian muttered, letting go of me, as him and Gwen began to dance.

"He didn't look too happy about the little switch, now did he?"

"Nope, Nick, he didn't."

"Man, that guy still has it bad for you." he snickered.

"Nick, that's not funny!  I wish he would meet someone, so he could be happy." I said, sadly.

"The only way he's gonna be happy, is if he's with you."

"Okay, enough talk about Brian.  How have you been?  It seems like I haven't talked to you since… forever."

"Well… I've been good.  Gwen and I are happy, and I'm thinking of asking her to move in with me." he grinned.

"Really?  Wow, that's great Nick.  And, you don't think it's a little too soon?"

"Too soon?  I've been with her for almost a year.  I don't think it's too soon."

"Oh okay." I mumbled.

We continued the rest of the dance in silence.

Brian's View

"Thanks for dancing with me, B." Gwen smiled, as she walked over to Nick.

"Please Col, next time Nick wants to switch… say NO!" I suggested.

"Why?" she asked, curiously.

"Well… she's not the best dancer I've ever seen." I grinned, "And you're much better."

"Oh I see.  Okay, I won't switch anymore, promise."

"Good.  Now lets go say goodbye to AJ and Sophia, before everyone else gets to them."

"Alright."

I tapped them both on the shoulder, and watched as they quickly turned around.

"Hey guys, just wanted to say have fun in Italy, and congratulations."

"Thanks man." AJ replied.

"Yeah, thanks B.  We'll miss you guys.  But we'll be back in 2 weeks!"  Sophia added.

"Alright Brian out of my way." Colleen smiled, playfully pushing me out of her way.

"Guys… have tons of fun in Italy, and make sure you don't spend all of your time in the bedroom.  Oh, and I'll see you when you get back, Mr. & Mrs. McLean."  Col laughed.

Wow… Mr. & Mrs. McLean… that sounds so strange.

"Thanks Col, I'll call you." Sophia mumbled, as we all exchanged hugs.

"So this is the part where we make a mad dash for our limo, before we get mobbed, right?" AJ said, weakly.

"Yep." Col and I replied, in unison.

"Okay, bye!" Sophia shouted, as AJ grabbed her hand.  They ran out to their limo, as rice was being thrown at them.

"Poor AJ." I mumbled.

"Why do you say that B?" Col asked.

"He looked so freaked out… you know, as the rice was being thrown at him.  Good thing he has Sophia to protect him." I giggled.

We both burst out laughing, as we made our way to my car.  She was sleeping over my house tonight.

Nick's View

"That was a beautiful wedding, wasn't it Nick?" Gwen asked, as I drove to her place.

"Yeah." I mumbled.  I was gonna ask her to move in with me, and I was really nervous.

"Hey Gwen?" I said, softly.

"Yep?"

"Well, I was wondering… I love you very much, and I was wondering if you would… like to move in with me…" I finally said.

"Nick, I don't think that would be a good idea…"

"Why not?"

"Because, we've never even had sex… and if we live together, it's gonna happen… and I don't want to until we're married."

"Oh okay."

The conversation was dropped.  She didn't wanna move in with me because she was afraid of sex.  Hmmm, sex hadn't been a part of my life since Colleen.  That was over a year ago… I was 21 now.  I love Gwen, but a guy has needs.  There have been so many times that me and her have come close to doing it, and she always backs out.  There's only so much a guy can take.

"Want me to walk you in?" I asked.

"Nah, I'm okay." she replied, kissing me lightly on my lips.

"I'll call you tomorrow."

"Okay Nick."

I watched as she disappeared inside her house.  I was upset that she wouldn't move in with me.  Where do I go when I'm upset?  Brian's house…

Colleen's View

"No!  Sidney!  Don't run upstairs… are you stupid?" I shrieked, holding onto Brian's arm.

"Colleen, calm down, it's just a movie." Brian grinned.

"Yeah I know, but why would you run upstairs?"

"I dunno.  Why don't you ask her?" he replied, sarcastically.

"Hey, shut up B." I mumbled, pushing him playfully.

"LET ME IN!" I heard Nick's recognizable voice shout, from outside.

"Hey Nickels, what's going on?" I giggled, "You know it's 3 in the morning."

"Yeah I know, but I need to talk to you and Brian.  It's about Gwen."

I took a good look at Nick.  He was still in his tuxedo, his hair neatly slicked back… his piercing blue eyes, staring into mine.  He really was gorgeous.

"Oh alright, come on in."

"Hey Frack, what's happening?" Brian asked, tearing himself away from the TV, long enough to notice Nick looked upset.

"Well, Gwen doesn't wanna move in with me, because she's afraid that we might have sex." he mumbled.

"Sex?  You guys haven't…" I replied.

"Nope.  The last time I had sex was with…" he blushed.

"Me…"  I added, as we all waited for the uncomfortable silence to pass.

"So, what are you gonna do Nick?" Brian finally asked.

"I dunno.  I love her, but she doesn't trust me.  If she did, she would know that I would never force her into doing something, that she didn't wanna do."

"Yeah you're right Nicky." I added.

"But, honestly, I think you should give her some time.  She is only 19, and you have to remember that you're 2 years older than her." Brian piped.

"Yeah, okay.  I'll give her some time.  I don't wanna lose her."

"Well, you might as well sleep over.  We're gonna finish watching Scream 3…"

"Alright B, I'll stay over.  Thanks for the invite."

"No problem.  Make yourself comfortable."

I smiled to myself as I looked towards Brian and Nick… my two best friends.  So much had happened between us over the past year, but we managed to keep our friendship alive.  Brian sat there, his eyes glued to the TV, occasionally glancing over to me… I guess to make sure I wasn't freaking out again.  Nick was staring off into space, probably thinking about Gwen.  I hope that Nick's relationship works out… he deserves it.  After all I put him through, he needs to be happy.  The same goes for Brian.  Although I haven't had much luck in finding Brian someone.  Actually, I haven't had much luck in finding someone for myself.  Nick has this crazy idea that me and Bri are gonna end up together… crazy!  Imagine… Brian and me, going out?

"Hey Col, pay attention… we're about to find out who the killer is." Brian shouted, excitedly.

I turned my full attention towards the TV, and let the subject of me and Brian, be erased from my mind.
