WHO DO YOU LOVE? Chapter 5 AJ's View
That night...
"AJ, take a look out the window… you've got visitors." Sophia grinned.
I took a quick glance outside and noticed three girls sitting on my front steps.
"Lets pretend we're not home." I muttered, continuing to read my magazine.
"Aw AJ, they just want an autograph! C'mon, I'm gonna open the door."
"No, I'll open it. You better stay out of this because if those girls are nasty… they're gonna rip you apart."
"Rip me apart? Ha, I would never let them do that. I'll just stand behind you and watch."
"Oh fine." I murmured, slowly opening the door.
"Oh my God, hey AJ!" one younger girl shouted.
"Hey girls, what brings you here?" I smiled.
"We just wanted to say hi, that's all."
As I looked towards the girl who said that, I couldn't help but notice she was gorgeous. Beautiful brown hair, and bright blue eyes… beautiful.
"Well you ladies are looking mighty fine tonight, if I do say so myself." I grinned.
"Oh my God, that is such typical AJ material." the younger one giggled.
"Yeah I know. Do you guys have names?"
"I'm Emily." the shy girl in the corner finally spoke up.
"And I'm Rebecca." the younger one smiled.
"How about you baby?" I flirted, smiling at the pretty one.
"Sydney."
"That's a really beautiful name. And you are a really beautiful girl." I gushed.
"Thanks." she smiled, shifting uncomfortably.
"Isn't that your wife standing in back of you?" Rebecca asked, pointing to Sophia.
"Um, no… she's my friend." I blurted out. I immediately regretted saying that.
I turned around slightly to see Sophia glaring at me, before she left the room.
"Uh, I have to go girls. Sorry." I mumbled, slamming the door shut, and leaving three fans very confused.
Sophia's View
"I'm sorry!" AJ shouted, bursting into our bedroom.
"AJ, I can't take this anymore! You would hit on anyone that pees sitting down!" I screamed, angrily.
"I'm sorry, but--"
"But what? Oh! I know! The girl was hot, right? Well that's fucking good for you! Why don't you go ask her out… I won't mind. I'm only your friend, remember?"
"No, you're not my friend… you're my wife, and I love you." he shot back.
"Bull shit AJ, bull shit." was all I could say.
"So now you think I don't love you?"
"Well you sure didn't act like it in front of those girls. 'That's a really beautiful name. And you're a really beautiful girl.' " I mumbled, imitating the earlier scene.
"I was just trying to be nice. They're only fans! I want them to think I'm a nice person."
"I saw the way you were looking at Sydney, or whatever the hell her name was. If I wasn't home, you would've invited her in for a little tour of the bedroom!"
"You know that's not true! How could you even say that? I would never cheat on you. I can't believe you would even think that." he replied, his voice returning to it's normal tone.
"I just can't take your behavior anymore. We're married now AJ…"
"You don't trust me, obviously."
"Not this again! I do trust you, but you're making it pretty fucking hard to do so."
"You know what? I'm not gonna fight with you about this, because it's stupid." he said, weakly.
"It's not stupid to me AJ. I can't put up with this right now, or ever." I said, lowering my voice.
"What are you saying?" he asked, his eyes staring into mine.
"I'm saying that I need a break from you. I'm going to Col's."
And with that, I walked out of the house.
AJ's View
I watched the only person I've ever loved, walk out of the house.
I'm such a stupid fuck.
I picked up the phone, and quickly dialed Nick's number.
"Hello?" an out of breath Nick answered.
"Hey dude. What's wrong with you?"
"I'm working out…"
"Oh, I thought you and Gwen were getting busy." I snickered.
"Don't joke about that, man. I wish it were that, but I'm just working out. So what's going on?"
"Sophia and I had a huge fight. She said she needed a break from me, and that she was going to Col's."
"Well, Col's fucking Brian right now."
"Really?"
"Yep, they're together now. She loves him."
"I know that, but I didn't think they would get together. Well, I'm happy for them. Brian's waited a hell of a long time for that girl."
"Yeah." he muttered.
"Nick--you have Gwen."
"I know." he said, sadly, "And I love Gwen, but it hurts that Brian's with her. I dunno why."
"Maybe because you still love her." I suggested.
"Nah, I love Gwen."
"Yeah but it's possible to love two people. You love Gwen, but you still want Colleen. It's perfectly understandable. Now, back to my problem: what should I do?"
"I dunno. Give her some time alone, I guess."
"That's it? No heartwarming advice? Jeez, thanks a lot buddy." I said, sarcastically.
"Anytime. Alright I gotta go. Later."
"Yeah, bye."
I slammed down the phone, and plopped myself down on the couch. I would give her some time… hopefully she would be calm by tomorrow night, because that's when I plan on apologizing.
Colleen's View
"Dinners ready!" Brian shouted from the kitchen. He actually offered to cook for me tonight. He's such a sweetie.
"Wow, look at this!" I grinned.
"Yep, I know you love Italian-style chicken cutlets. So lets eat baby." he smiled, taking my hand and leading me to a chair.
"Mmm, this looks so good Bri." I was just about to stuff a piece of chicken in my mouth, when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." Brian said, jumping up.
"No, I'll get it. You've done enough for one night."
I gave him a quick kiss before running to open the door.
"Sophia, hey!"
"Hi. I figured you would be here."
My smile quickly faded, as I noticed her tear-stained face.
"What happened?" I asked, concerned, leading her to the couch.
"AJ and I had a fight. He was hitting on some fans that rang the doorbell. And he told them I was his friend… and he seemed really into this one girl. I was so mad, and I told him I needed a break from him, then I left. I'm so stupid." she cried.
"Aw, no you're not. You did the right thing. AJ has to learn that he's a married man now, and he can't be flirting with every pretty girl he sees. He's probably gonna leave you alone for awhile, but be prepared for a dramatic apology tomorrow night."
"Yeah, I'm not gonna divorce him because of this or anything. I just need a night away from him."
"What's going on? Dinners getting cold." Brian said, coming into the living room.
"Sophia and AJ had a fight."
"Are you staying here tonight Colleen?"
"Yeah Sophia, I'm staying with my baby tonight. Feel free to crash here." I grinned, looking up at Brian.
"Aw, you two are so sweet." she gushed, "And thanks for letting me stay here."
"We've got some extra chicken cutlets in the kitchen, so go in there and make a plate for yourself." I added.
"Alright thanks guys." she mumbled disappearing into the kitchen.
"There goes our romantic evening." Brian whined.
"Don't worry, we'll have many more." I grinned, grabbing his hand and dragging him into the kitchen.
"Wait."
"What Bri?"
"Before we go in there… kiss me."
"Okay." I whispered, as I leaned in to give him a soft kiss.
"That's it?"
"Yep, for now." I giggled.
"Guys, c'mon get in here and eat with me. Mmm, Brian this is good!"
"Thanks Sophia."
"Yeah honey, this is really tasty." I added, putting another piece in my mouth.
"So what did you and AJ fight about?"
I sat there, while Sophia told Brian the whole story. I felt bad for Sophia. AJ was such a flirt, and it was definitely something he wouldn't be able to control.

Brian's View
"Is she sleeping?" I whispered.
"Yep, looks like it." Col replied, glancing over at Sophia.
"So what shall we do now?" I sighed.
"I have an idea." she laughed.
"What's that?" I grinned.
She quietly crept over to my lap, and plopped herself down. I leaned in to kiss her, and we slowly undressed each other.
"You think we should go upstairs?" she mumbled, in-between kisses.
"Nah, here's good. Sophia sleeps like a brick wall… she won't be waking up anytime soon."
"Yeah, you're right." she giggled, before putting her lips to mine once again.
Nick's View
"Stupid Joey, stupid! Can't you see that Pacey is in love with you? Dawson is a crack head… don't choose him!" I shouted, glaring at the TV.
I was really losing it… yelling at the TV… I must be going crazy. I hated being all alone in my house… no one to talk to.
I thought back to what AJ had said… You love Gwen, but you still want Colleen. AJ has no idea what he's talking about.
I picked up the phone, and dialed Gwen's number.
"Hello?"
"Hey Gwenny, it's the love of your life."
"Hey Nick, what's up?"
"You wanna come over?"
"It's 9:30… I'm gonna go to bed now."
"Aw please? I'm bored!"
"So go over to Brian's house. Him and Col are probably still awake… if you know what I'm saying."
"Gross." I shrieked, "So you're not coming over?"
"Nope."
"Okay, love you, later."
"Love you too Nick. Bye."
I decided that maybe going over to Bri's was a good idea. If him and Colleen were getting busy, it would be funny to interrupt them.
I dialed his number, figuring that calling them first would be extra-annoying.
1 ring, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6…
"Hello?" came Brian's out of breath voice.
"Hey you, what's going on?"
"Um, Nick, this isn't a good time right now. Can I call you later?" he mumbled. I heard Colleen giggling in the background, and Brian let out a low moan.
"Yo, could you two stop having sex while I'm talking to you?" I snapped.
"Oh yeah, um, sorry Nick." he murmured, "Hold on a second."
"Okay."
"Alright. What do you want?" he asked, a few minutes later.
"Jeez, Brian, is sex with Col that important to you?" I laughed.
"Actually yes. We're a new couple, and we want to be with each other as much as possible."
"Yeah, I wouldn't know the feeling 'cause Gwen's sex-shy."
"I feel bad for you, but please don't call me around this time anymore."
"Fine. Anyway, I'm lonely right now. Can I come over your house?"
"NO!" he shrieked.
"Why not? Aren't you two done?"
"Hold on one more time." he mumbled.
"Alright."
I heard some whispering in the background.
"Fine, you can come over. Sophia's here anyway, but she's sleeping on the couch."
"Good, I'll be there in a few minutes." I said, clicking off the phone, before Brian got the chance to say anything else. He was probably gonna be mad at me, but who gives a fuck?
I grabbed my car keys, and headed for Brian's house. If me going over to Brian's would stop those two from getting busy… I'd be a regular at his place.
