-A rumor from Dallas said that the Maple Leafs could sign Shayne Corson who will become free agnets this summer.
-A rumor want that the Habs are trying to get Bob Gainey as GM after the cup Stanley final.Also Guy Carbonneau who for me is the best candidate have said it doesn't bother him to be the next General Manager of the great Montreal Canadiens.I wish Pierre Boivin have hear this. 02/06/00
-The Habs are trying to deal Saku Koivu for a top player.Also I heard that Stevenson and the 1st Rnd.pick of the Habs could be trade to the NYIslanders for the next year first Rnd. pick of the Islanders(a rumor).This year draft will not be a so good one so the Habs could trade one of their two first Rnd. pick for a good player or a next year draft picks who should be better than this year draft.
-Summer, when the rumor are at one week before a draft only. But for the Habs before the summer what will be the next step of president Pierre Boivin? I heard that Houle will stay until the draft in June and after this be fired for a new GM.But Who? Sather don't want to break his contract with the oilers,Lemaire have a lot of call.The big rumor was Bob Sauve, not a bad idea I am sure he will be a GM later like Pierre Lacroix did with the Nordiques(Avalanches). Also a good one Guy Carbonneau not a stupid idea he knows the team well he have leadership, he was at the NHLPA association and have a lot of influence in the NHL.Also guys like Gainey and Lacroix are in the spot but the two work with good teams.The leading candidate is Jacques Lemaire but I'm sure they can have better. 13/09/00
-WARNING(the trading deadline come very fast)Who will be trade in NHL Doug Gilmour to Buffalo, Nicholai Khavibulin to Philadelphia, Mark Messier to New Jersey. We have seen these day big trade RAY BOURQUE TRADE(I wish the best for Raymond), Vladimir Malakhov trade to New Jersey and some minor trade like Odelein-Quint trade, Marc Bureau to Calgary.
But It's not finish with the Habs Igor Ulanov have demand to GM Rejean Houle to be trade him because he is not playing right now. Also the Habs are talking with Shayne Corson for renegociate is contract if Corson refuse the new contract Houle could trade him to Toronto. But what will happen with Jeff Hackett Philadelphia are very interested and other team like Detroit,Los Angeles and San Jose could be interested too, but the Flyers really need a goalie for the playoff.But maybe others players will go because of the expension at the end of the year???

-Vladimir Malakhov, will be trade rapidely if he continues to make the stupid on the ice. Against the Capitals Malakhov have make something remembering Patrick Roy. The Habs fans are very angry about him and Rejean Houle will have to make a rapid decision. 27/02/00
-Hard decision for GM Rejean Houle to take. But know Vladimir Malakhov is on the trade market. But because he had not played one game this season his value is very low.But a rumor want that the Habs and Carolina was near a trade with Vladimir Malakhov and Martin Gélinas.The Maple Leafs get Darcy Tucker and they have too many center so a rumor want that Corson could be trade to Toronto for Yannick Perreault. 11/02/00

-Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports Habs GM Rejean Houle is shopping Vladimir Malakhov, Shayne Corson and Scott Thornton in an attempt to "protect his job". Garrioch claims the San Jose Sharks are interested in Corson, but don't want to give up a high draft pick for him. Apparently four clubs, among them the Toronto Maple Leafs, have had talks with the Habs regarding Thornton, who becomes a UFA next season and is under the league salary average.The real reason Houle is shopping those three is because of their impending UFA status next season. Malakhov wants $5 million US per season. Corson is due for a raise of $4 million for next year, and Thornton has been disappointing this season. Other rumor want that Corson could interest several team but the price is not high. Also GM Rejean Houle have said to the journalist that "it's too early to talk about trades" Houle also said he hasn't had many call from other teams looking to make any deals with Montreal. The Canadiens GM also said Malakhov's status is "up in the air" right now, as the blueliner has yet to play a game this season due to a knee injury. 10/01/00
