Cuts right through the heart
Didn't you know I wanted you
Right from the very start
The first time we made love
You were so gentle and so kind
All that I could think of
Was how you were mine
You touched me oh so softly
And made me feel so right
You openned up my eyes and heart
And blinded me by the light
Now you've turned away
And left me all alone
To wonder and think
Of how far we've grown
If only we could be together

Missing You
Why is love so difficult
Difficult and rare
Why does my heart ache
Ache when he's not there
These feelings that burn inside me
Burn right through the heart
Feelings that I've felt
Right from the very start
When he's not near me
I feel empty and alone
Wondering if he's feeling the same
Sitting by himself at home
Why are things so confusing
And so hard to sort out
Why am I always wondering
If there may be a little doubt
All I know is that I love him
And never want to let him go
I only want to tell him
Tell him and let him know
You should know that I love you
Lord knows I've told you enough
Just be reassured to know
That you're not the only one finding it rough
Leaving You Behind
You know, sometimes I wonder why I left
Leaving all my friends and family behind
Without telling a single soul
And without leaving a trail to find
I often regret not telling anyone
But I really regret not telling you
I thought it was the best for me
I thought it was the right thing to do
You have always been there for me
When I needed a special friend
To listen to my problems
And help me see the end
You taught me how to love
In your own unforgettable way
You were always very quiet
And didn't have much to say
I loved you then and I love you now
Even though we're miles apart
Faces fade as time passes
But love never leaves the heart
When I left, I thought no one cared
But you proved me very wrong
You tracked me down for three whole years
How could you want me for so long?
I've never forgotten the people of my past
Or the love I felt inside
I can run from most of my problems
But I know I really can't hide
I'm glad that someone's still out there
That someone still remembers me
Because it's been such a long time
Since I've let someone see
Neither of us has really changed
On the outside maybe, but not within
