Anyone who is actually living this way; denying themselves and hoping
completely in Christ, is not grasping for this life and "loving their
life in
this world" (Jn 12:25). They are putting all their trust in Jesus
completely
where it belongs.
Those who actually are hoping in God are then able to obey Jesus' greatest
command which is to LOVE God and love one another gladly as He loved
them.
(Jn 13:34)
Hi brethren, I've examined ST's U tract; the above post is an excerpt
from
that tract. My question to those inside Cobu is, "Is ST an example
of doing the things he
preaches, If he is, why does he need 4 or 5 planes at his disposal."
Not to
mention his luxurious condo in Florida, & his decadent living quarters
in the
Philly compound. His & hers walk-in closets. He must have some
collection of
work clothes & sneakers to justify having them built. What's with
the
sunbathing room? Can you imagine asking to have one built for yourself?
Gold
bathroom fixtures for Gayle's bathroom, not THEIR bathroom. Stop! I
can't
go on. The amount of denial by the royal couple is staggering. I'm
in awe.
How about you guys? Now the lazy sluggards as described by ST (older
brothers
& sisters at the MTC) had only one filthy toilet & sink for
100 people. Now
that's denial. Ah, but Jesus never had it so good, SIT DOWN, NEXT!
I've known quite a number of brethren in Cobu, who lived in a space
smaller
than the size of those closets. REMEMBER LOFT LIFE! But that's all
in the
past you say, it's much better now. Better for who? Ask him why doesn't
he
get only $30.00 a week like the rest of the Brethren. Oh, WEEE DO HAVE
A
HEAVY BUDGET, says the spirit of Marjoe. Also his clothes are all of
top
quality, & pressed by professional dry cleaners; only one brand
of sneakers
is good enough for him. The house in Princeton ($400,000) complete
with a
cement pond. Restaurant food, with strawberry pie for dessert. He suffers
sooo much for gospel. it brings tears to my eyes. But you're just jealous
of
ST, you will say.
But someone has to shoulder the burden of the church. After all, rank
as it's
privileges, wouldn't you say? But I thought Jesus said, he who wishes
to be
the greatest among you, must be the servant of all. Ask yourself the
question, is ST following that principle?
Does he seem to hate his life in this world & is he denying
himself? What's
wrong with the above picture? Judge for yourself? If one ventures a
word with
yous, would you be offended? Yet who can keep from speaking, "GET SMART,
GET
OUT."
Herm
PS: Brother Love says, "WEEE LOVE YOUU !!!"

Dear Herman - when the message you sent with the quotes from the "U"
stuff
first appeared on my screen, I saw that the file was from you, but
when I
first started reading it, it was "foreign" - it didn't "sound" like
you - and
now I see it is from ST.
I guess I can tell my real Shepherd's voice better now. If you
look at the
words of that hireling, you can see how condemning a spirit it comes
from.
"If anyone is actually living a life..." Nah, not me. I
couldn't do it, I
doubt I could be good enough... it is a work-over to anyone who is
humble,
which a lot of brethren IN, dear sheep that they are to the real Shepherd,
are, and they have this inordinate, false guilt put on them.
And as you
point out, all the while the wolf is living it up.
Today the sermon at my church was about the attitude of David when he
saw
that the other Israelites were afraid of Goliath. But David had
the right
perception that influenced his actions against the big-bully.
The others
were calling him a "man" but David said he was just an "uncircumcised
Philistine," not equal to the people of God. And just before
David's brother
had said something nasty to David, but David did not answer him; and
we know
from his relationship with God that what was said wasn't true, it was
just
the devil working through his family to discourage him. David
had every
reason humanly to be discouraged, when it was time to be made king
he wasn't
even considered. He was the runt. Still God looked at his
heart.
David wanted at the giant and Saul gave him his armor. But David
tried it on
and thought "What good is all this heavy stuff?" He knew God
had used him
before to protect his sheep against lions and bears, and so he went
with what
had worked for him before. What others think we should do doesn't
always
work for us; it has to be what God authenticates in who we are that
will work
to defeat the giants in our lives.
Anyway, I liked the sermon - we get mad here against idol worshipers
and
bullies - and our perception has changed of ST now; his ostentatious
arrogance disgusts us.
Hey Herm, you got a pouch and 5 stones bro? LOL - Nancy C.
