Zanzibar, Tanzania. A dwarf cyclop with bat wings, pointed ears and talons is rumored to haunt the place, hurting humans. Rumors says it take human shape during the day, but it has pointed fingers. Weirdly, its appearances coincides with political troubles. The last wave of Popo reports is from 2001; no troubles are actually occuring politically, but we'll keep an eye on this.
The first Popobawa appearance came in 1972, in the city of Pemba. One of the victims, Mjaka Hamad, was unable to see nor fight his assaillant, but his horrified relatives were able to see the monstrous thing.
Curiously, the creature, once its "work" done, tells the victims to talk about what happened to them, or it will be back. Hospitals in Zanzibar have treated men with broken ribs, bruises, and other.
My explanation: this ISN'T an animal, but however, there is something. An evilish spirit. Why have I talked of it there? For the shape of the thing, simply. In fact, that thing should be classified in another class, the para-cryptids one. This class includes all cryptids with some paranormal connection, (Chupacabras, Black Dogs, etc.) These are animal-shape, but none can say without a doubt that it IS an animal under the mystery. Since it is a "hot cryptid" as I call them (cryptids in a rush of observations), I will follow it.
