Mamlambo is another African Cryptid, with a strange look. It is said to have a 67 feet lenght, with short stumpy legs, a crocodilian body, and it also have the neck and the head of a snake. It also have an hypnotic gaze. In the night, it is also said to glows with a green light. It is said to drag humans in water, and them drown them to suck their blood and brain out.
Many sightings of the beast occured, and some human deaths are put in blame on the Mamlambo. In fact, there are 7 death attribued to it in 1997 alone, including a young school girl. It also attacks goats. It location is in the Mzintlava River (Mount Ayliff Area), in South Africa. The Xhosa tribal put it in their mythology, and the one that capture one is said to have wealth in reward of their bravoure.
The local police explain that the deads one drowned, all simply. Sometimes, crabs ate the soft tissues of the dead corpses, making them look like if they were attacked by an horrible creature. The villagers still fear the Mamlambo.
I have a theory about Mamlambo. The way it is described makes me think to the Nothosaurus, a Triassic extincted reptile with a long neck, like plesiosaurs, but it have legs instead of fins. I consider it as the ancestor of the plesiosaurs. But I can't figure why a fish-eater could have become a goat and human eater, supposing that Mamlambo is the real guilty....
