It was taken when Robert Serrec, a french photograph was in vacations in Queensland, in 1964 when, while in water with his group, paddling at Hook islands when it appeared. It was a 75-80 feet serpent, with a little tadpole look, with a wounded area in the animal's back. THe photo is so clear that it's often credited as a hoax, where Serrec's photo was built up by taking a little object from really near, the canoe giving a gigantic effect.
