BACK TO FRONT (9/10)

Gilbert's second album released in 1972 was a beauty. What a difference a year makes. His voice had really changed compared to Himself, he seemed so sure of himself (excuse the pun). This was the first Gilbert album i ever bought and played it over and over driving my parents up the wall.

Everything worked on that album, even the "intro" and "outros". There was a bit of everything on that album, nice love songs, good rockers and even one song (But I'm Not) that made me laugh, and also one that sounded like the Beatles (I'm In Love With You).

The music was great, as were the lyrics and the voice was wonderful. This time the lyrics were included and that makes a big difference as far as i'm concerned.
