Gilbert's first album released in 1971
in the UK and in 1972 in America. This
was my 3rd Gilbert album and at the time
i was very disappointed with the album.
Some songs did not make much sense to me
and the "intro" and "outro" should have
been removed from the album. After
listening to the album many times some
songs grew on me so that's why i give it
a 6.
I had and still have
trouble listening to songs like
Permissive Twit (although i love the
title), Independent Air, Susan Van
Heusan and Houdini Said. At least the
American version got Alone Again
(Naturally) instead of Susan Van Heusan.
I really enjoyed the music but Gilbert's voice on some songs is a bit annoying. Also something else that bothered me is the fact that the lyrics are not included.
