A STRANGER IN MY OWN BACK YARD (8/10)

Released in 1974 Gilbert's 4th album was a fun album to listen to, not too serious, good lyrics and music. The first thing that hit me when i bought the album was the number of songs (15) and many photos inside the album. The way the album opened like a book reminded me of the "Don't Shoot Me...." album released by Elton John 2 years earlier.

The album opened with a witty intro entitled Number 4 followed by the first single A Woman's Place. It's So Easy To Be Sad is one of Gilbert's most underated song. The album also reminded me of Back To Front with a couple of great love songs and a good rocker with Just Like Me and a funny one with 15 Times. I always picture Gilbert singing that song to his 2 daughters when they were younger :)

So all in all a really enjoyable album to listen too, great album design with many pictures and lyrics included.
