Things we know about Joseph:

• He was, until recently, employed by a medical research company called Silver Cross
  
• He is superhumanly intelligent, able to grasp concepts far beyond normal people's comprehension
  
• He is particularly brilliant in the field of cybernetics, having designed completely functional cybernetic arms (which he himself has)
  
• His superhuman abilities extend to manipulation of electrical energy. He is able to:
  
  • Project lightning bolts from his hands
    
  • Sense electricity near himself
    
  • Drain electrical energy from appliances/mains power
    
• He has a somewhat dark sense of humour, which often results in insulting people
  
• He loves children and spends a great deal of his time playing with Jim and Cain.
  
• His original name is in fact Benjamin Bartholemew, changed for unknown reasons
