Things That Have Happened and Things That Happen
When Chichi asked him if he was going to fight, he had said that he had given up on fighting. He was lying, though, of course. It was quite the opposite. He was really training as hard as he can. It helped him release all the mixed emotions that kept building up inside of him. After everything with the tournament, Yamacha lost touch with his old friends, except Puar that is. Puar had always been there for Yamacha. The two of them were like peanutbutter and jelly, broccoli and cheese, whip cream and pie, and peas and carrots. They were practically inseparable. Now, Yamacha was alone. He wanted to be alone, at the moment. He needed time to think.
'What am I going to do?' he wondered.
He stopped walking, suddenly. A slight breeze blew, making his wild black hair wave around a bit. He saw two pathes stretched out before him. He stared at them, both, for a moment. He shook his head and looked up at the sky.
'The sun is already setting.. I better head back before Puar gets worried,' Yamacha thought.
He turned around and then shot up into the air. After a while of flying, he came upon his house. He landed in front of the door. He opened it and walked inside. Puar instantly floated towards him.
"Yamacha! There you are!! You missed lunch and supper!! I was really worried about you. Where have you been?" she exclaimed.
"I just went out for a walk. Its okay about lunch and supper, I'm not really that hungry," Yamacha told her.
His stomach grumbled a bit. Puar narrowed her eyes.
"You sure do sound like you're not hungry. You need to eat, Yamacha. You're going to end up skin and bones, if you keep this up!!" she replied.
He shook his head and sighed.
"Alright, alright.. I'll eat," he stated.
He walked into the kitchen, opened the fridge, and took a container some leftover cold macaroni and cheese. He opened the lid of the container and swallowed all of the macaroni and cheese, without even heating it, first.
....
Puar stared at Yamacha.
"Yamacha....," she started.
"I'm going to bed, Puar.. you can tell me about whatever you're going to say in the morning," Yamacha declared and trudged up the stairs.
Puar watched her long-time friend go off to bed. She sighed and picked up the container that once held the cold macaroni and cheese. She put it in the sink for washing, later. She glanced at the calendar hanging on the fridge. Her eyes widened.
"Tomorrow is spring cleaning day! YAY! That day always makes Yamacha feel happy!!" Puar said to herself.
It was always a little tradition for Yamacha and Puar to spend the day cleaning and fixing up the house during spring cleaning day. It was also the only day Yamacha and Puar would wear aprons and little maid hats. It was part of their tradition and they always found it funny seeing each other dressed up in such a manner. Puar yawned.
'I better get to bed, too. Tomorrow is a big day!' she thought.
She floated towards her room, but was stopped when she started feeling heavy. She began to feel like a thousand needles were being stabbed into her body all at once. She fell down and curled herself up into a ball. The pain stopped after a while. She panted and beads of sweat rolled down her body. She shook herself and floated straight into bed. Every once in a while, that would happen. She didn't know exactly when she started getting the feelings or what caused it. She had decided not to bother Yamacha with it, though. He had enough on his mind, already.
'Besides.. its probably nothing.. it will most likely go away after a few more days or just a few weeks,' she thought.
Then, she went into a deep sleep...
The next day.........
Puar woke up bright and early and rushed towards Yamacha's room.
"YAMACHA!! YAMACHA!! WAKE UP!! GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS TODAY?!" Puar screamed at him.
Yamacha quickly shot up out of bed, alarmed, yet only half-awake.
"Uhhh... your birthday?" he mumbled, questioningly.
"No, silly!! Today is spring cleaning day!" Puar shouted.
Yamacha's eyes widened and a big grin crept upon his face.
"ALRIGHT! Time to tackle those dust bunnies!!" he squealed like a child after seeing presents under the Christmas tree.
Puar giggled. The two rushed to the closet and put on their aprons and their little maid hats.
"I'll make breakfast! You vacumn! Then, I'll get the feather duster and clean up all the dust, you can mop sweep the kitchen floors, then I'll mop them, and you can start upstairs.. and.. well.. you know the routine!" Puar exclaimed.
Yamacha nodded multiple times. He got the vacumn out and began vacumning the carpet floors. Puar began making breakfast. Yamacha laughed as he zoomed around the house vacumning the floors. Puar busily made breakfast and everything seemed peaceful. Puar hummed a small tune as she put a dash of pepper on the eggs. Pain began to overtake her, again. Only this time, it came back much worse than before. She tried to hold in a scream, but it wasn't possible.. the pain was too great. She dropped down to the ground. Yamacha stopped vacumning, immediately, and ran over to Puar. He picked her up, gently.
"Puar! Puar! What happened? Are you alright?" he questioned.
Puar didn't say anything for a moment. Some tears dripped down her cheeks.
"Its hurts.. its hurts," she whispered.
She threw up a bunch of blood onto Yamacha's apron. Yamacha quickly took off his apron and maid hat. He held his friend, closely. He quickly thought of what he could do. He didn't really liked the idea, but Puar looked like she was really sick and he couldn't think of any other choice.
"You'll be alright, Puar... you'll be okay.. I'm going to take you to Bulma's.. I'm sure she'll know what to do," he told her.
He held Puar even more tightly in his arms and didn't even bother opening the door. He bursted through the door and flew as fast as he could to Capsule Corp., home to Bulma Briefs and her family. He touched down onto the ground and rushed towards Bulma's house. Vegeta was passing by and noticed Yamacha. He was about to say something rude when Yamacha slammed into him, really hard.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Yamacha screamed, angrily, then stepped on Vegeta, and broke the door leading to the inside of Capsule Corp.
Vegeta coughed and slowly got to his feet. He turned his head, stared at the broken down door, and narrowed his eyes.
'That's odd.. that human seems to have gotten stronger... I don't see how he could have gotten enough power to knock me over like that...,' he thought.
He touched his chest, lightly and avoided wincing.
'I think he broke something other than the door,' he continued, thinking.
Vegeta cursed and stomped into his gravity room. He would have gone after Yamacha, but, the human had a look on his face that kind of made the hair on Vegeta's neck stand up. Not that HE, the mighty Prince of Saiyans, was afraid of the human or anything, of course. He snorted and slammed the door of the gravity room shut.
In Bulma's house...
Yamacha didn't bother searching for Bulma. It would take forever and Puar was looking sicker by the minute.
"BBBBBUUUUUUUULLLLLMMMMAAAAA!!!!!" he yelled at the top of his lungs.
Bulma zoomed down the stairs.
"YAMACHA! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?! I WAS ON THE BRINK OF DISCOVERI--," she began shrieking, but Yamacha quickly interrupted her.
"Its Puar, Bulma.. she's really sick.. I know you're really smart and everything.. can you help her?" Yamacha begged, lowering his voice.
Bulma stopped yelling and walked over to Yamacha. She looked at Puar and frowned.
"I'm not a doctor, Yamacha.. but.. I'll see what I can do, alright?" Bulma stated.
"I'm going to have to take a few blood samples, hopefully I'll be able to find out what's wrong with her," she continued.
She started walking towards her lab. Yamacha followed her, closely. He was deeply concerned about Puar.
"You wait outside, okay?" Bulma requested.
"What?! Why?!" Yamacha growled.
"Well, you might get in my way and that wouldn't help the situation," Bulma explained in a matter-of-fact tone of voice.
Yamacha crossed his arms and sat down. Bulma took Puar into her lab. Yamacha stared at the door, worriedly.
'I hope you're going to be okay, Puar... I don't know what I'd do without you,' he thought.
