Okay, my first point: Our beloved goddess, Urd, costar of the classic manga/anime "Ah! My Goddess"/"Oh My Goddess!". Even though AMG *is* considered shounen, Urd is *not* HENTAI! If she *was* H, then Belldandy could be considered the same. Even though Belldandy's clothing is much more conservative (cough cough boring), there are as many "unnecessary Belldandy nudity" shots as there are "UUrdN". I mean, come ON people... Aoshima and Sayoko spying on her in the shower? Daikouku-ya hot springs (although, Urd's exposure was much worse there)? Really. And I do NOT want to hear about the lack of naked Skuld-chan shots. She's only 12, after all. What is there to see?

Secondly, a word on dubs. Too many people who happen to speak Japanese or who accessed fansubs of an anime before it was commercially released BASH BASH BASH dubs. Now, as a budding purist myself, I don't really approve of dubs. But they have their good points. For example, a lot of people protest to "reading a movie", and thus aren't interested in subbed anime. Dubs help getting newbies *like me* accquainted with the genre. And sometimes, dubs are *all* that are available to new, American anime fans comme moi. I KNOW that dubbed Oh My Goddess! sucks. But I can't help it. The English versions are cheaper- which helps, since Otakudom is *so* expensive- and more readily available. I was weaned on dubbed OMG. Without it, I would have never found the glorious manga series. And certain dubs, like "Please Save My Earth", aren't all that bad. Viz- PSME's translators and American release co.- rarely does subs, so English was all that was available. But it was worth it, as PSME is now one of my favorite anime. So don't be so mean. ^^ (Although, I will admit- the only access I've had to Lodoss has been dubbed, and it's DRIVING ME NUTS.) (Okay, actually, that situation was resolved... I found that my local TLA stocks subbed Lodoss!! SPA!! It's sooo much better subbed-- note the Soapbox List changes... even though the OVA ending sucked.)
