Body Armor Rules

TWERPS has very simple rules for body armor. Where's the fun in that?

Body Armor Table

Class I, IIa, II, and IIIa are civilian and law enforcement armors.

Class III and IV are only available to special police units and the military forces.

The U.S. Military’s body armor is Class IV (torso) for combat units, with a Class III helmet.

Police SWAT and FBI HRT teams have Class III or IV body armor, helmets and limb protection.

Archaic suits of armor come with a helmet, rated the same as the armor.

Modern armors do not come with a helmet.

SHIELD RULES
+2 Defensive Strength. Can only be used against one attacker per turn. Can be used with other armor, but not with 2-handed weapons.

HELMET RULES
Normally, whether your character has a helmet or not, does not matter. A helmet's Defense Strength is only used if someone trys to shoot you in the head.
Do not add it to the character's normal Defense Roll. Do not add both body armor defense and helmet defense. Use one or the other, but not both.
