Take Route 3 to Mt. Moon. You'll find no fewer than eight Pokemon trainers on the way. None of their Pokemon are as tough as Brock's, but you'll still have your work cut out for you. At the Mt.Moon Pokemon Center, you can buy a Magikarp from a traveling Pokemon salesman.
