As you know, you can earn tons of money by defeating trainers in battle. You'll have to defeat lots and lots of trainers if you want to get a bike, which costs a whooping 1 million dollars!
Notes:
2. The bike will allow you to travel very quickly but you'll still be open to attack from trainers and wild Pokemon.
She's Just a Wet Blanket!
Misty is the Gym leader of Cerulean City. You will have to deafeat two other trainers to get to her. When you defeat Misty she will give you her Cascadebadge and TM 11. The badge can be combined with a Hidden Machine (HM) you'll find later in the game.

Notes:
Your Bulbasaur should have evolved into Ivysaur by know so that would be really good against Misty and her Pokemon. If you don't have Bulbasaur any electric or grass type Pokemon will do.
