ELECTIONS For Priyans, the campus poll held in 1994 was extra special for reasons that now lie in the dustbin of MCK history. Passionate poll watchers however contend that had it not been for the foolish n' indecisive shift of the PRIYAN high command, it would have been a dull poll indeed. What initially began as a tussle for the Arts Club Secy, between MAPIC n' IMA turned into an all out battle for the post of Magazine Editor, which compounded by the "escapist" tendencies of the idiotic n' unfortunate candidate ( a "hard-WORKING" Priyan ), had the Priyans almost at the receving end of the wrath of both the parties. Truly the joke of the century. After further twists culminating in a Rajadhani style hand over arranged by a kingmaker an uneasy peace prevailed in the midst of hectic campaigning. The results surprised most but for the Priyans, they had had one election too many ( not to mention a Magazine Editor of their own ! ). |
