| WET SPELLS !! These are referred to moments of joy and abandon when Priyans threw what ever inhibitions they had left to the winds, aided by the products of United Breweries n' Shaw Wallace. These are instances which every Priyan would hate to forget - uncle's "singing" that "enthralled" Patta, the latter's "free shows", Kallu Mama's "eloquent" English & dancing (Paas woh aane lagi zara zara), Asokans lectures on "vedas", Sibychan's quiet emptying of drinks (into the verandah !!), Pappa's one-sniff kicks, Chatti's first crazy X'mas drink, what and what not ! While most of these occasions were controlled outbursts of olam, there were a few when the "Sword of Tipu Sultan" had to be taken out - most famously by a junior student who wanted to prove his capacity-only to get bathed in his own poke !! |
