A wonderful series of droll monologues in which the young Scottish writer John Mackay described scenes from his upbringing in the dull (and fictitious) town of Fenton Hough.  Mackay was also responsible for a Channel 4 television comedy, My Dead Dad, about a man tethered to his father’s invisible ghost.
