An airport was, in fact, the setting for the first British radio comedy series to feature an all-black cast, namely Felix Dexter, Robbie Gee, Llewella Gideon, Roger Griffiths, Jo Martin and Josephine Melville, most of whom also contributed to the script. Midway between a sitcom and a sketch show, The Airport featured scenes from the lives of various characters working in and around the terminal, including overenthusiastic drugs tester Felix and bigoted customs official Reg Boyce.
