Comedy drama about the kitchen staff of Old Dale School, written and directed by Turan Ali.  In the first episode of a developing story, the dinner ladies (among them Jean Heywood, Barbara Dickson and Liz Smith) were shocked to discover that catering at the school was about to be put out to private tender; much to everyone’s surprise, not least their own, they decided to bid for the contract themselves.  Attempting to stop them in their tracks was the odious Mrs Ollerenshaw, played by Brigit Forsyth.
