Sarah Parkinson’s sitcom centred on the titular characters, Kate (Parkinson) and Cindy (Felicity Montagu), and their shared love of old black-and-white films.  Told in flashback, by means of Kate’s conversations with her therapist, the narrative shuttled back and forth in time over the weeks to build up a picture of the two women’s friendship from their first meeting, as students in Brighton, to the irretrievable breakdown in relations at the end of the saga, with numerous mishaps along the way.  Sally Grace, Toby Longworth, Neil Mullarkey, Jon Glover, Joanna Brookes and Carla Mendonça were among the supporting cast, appearing in various roles.
