Domestic sitcom written by scriptwriting veteran Eric Merriman (who worked on Beyond Our Ken in the 1950s) and his son Andy, and based on Andy’s experiences of bringing up a Down’s Syndrome daughter. Peter Davison starred as Richard Stubbs, a satirical cartoonist, with Samantha Bond as his wife Sarah, an analyst working from home; Sarah Merriman, Andy’s real-life daughter, played five-year-old Amy, who had Down’s, and her older sister Kate was played by Claire Russell.
