Cathy Macphail’s series, described with gobsmacking Radio 2 generality as “a Scottish sitcom”, about a young woman named Isobel (Kate Donnelly) and her quest to break free of her domineering mother (Eileen McCallum).  The cast list was replete with familiar names from the Scottish acting profession, including Forbes Masson, Sean Scanlan and Barbara Rafferty).
