Christopher Sykes’ sitcom was a vehicle for the talents of Mollie Sugden, who played the domineering mother to Patricia Brake.  Each episode featured a guest star.  Brake, who appeared in numerous TV sitcoms across the 1970s and 80s, was subsequently unlucky enough to have her career ‘resuscitated’ by BBC1’s Eldorado.
