Nick Revell’s magic-realist saga, set in the wilds of Brontë country and telling the tale of the intrepid Tony Hardstaff, his grasping family, his relationship with his beloved Emily, and how a dream of contentment and redemption was cruelly dashed from the pair as a result of a fatal error in a smell-the-weight contest.  The impressive cast included David Swift, Maggie Steed, Alison Steadman, Alistair McGowan, Claire Skinner and Nathalie Walter.
