MACHIN USER PROJECT

Although the silhouettes have now been added to the list of Machins, this still leaves one important piece of information missing - the identity of the user or users!

Some perfin dies are known used on both pre-Machin and Machin stamps. Where there is only one user, we can safely assume that the user used the die on Machin issues. However, where there are multiple users of a die (invariably a Sloper product), we can’t say with any certainty that they all used Machins. In fact, in all probability they weren’t all used during the Machin era.

This new project invites readers to provide details of covers or pieces that show Machin perfins used with a user identity.
