Cravens FC 2 v Cartworth 1
First Team Away League Game
A large travelling crowd of just short of 21,000 (well 20,979 short) made the difficult journey across the valley to Cravens FC (fighting club).
This journey was made particularly difficult due to the fact that several of the Cartworth players had not been to Cravens FC (fighting club) for at least a week!
With Cartworth deciding on another change to the management formation, based on One Man and his dog (and a load of sheep running around a field) things started to look bad, despite turning to an under 16 policy!
In a hard fought game (literally) Cartworth started off brightly and even looked like extending their unbeaten run to 6 days.
Just before half-time, and after Carl had made a few calls and deals, the under 16 policy Paddy had been advising on worked with Mack scoring a wonder goal, well goal.
However the game started to turn with the sending off of a Cravens FC (fighting club) player. With Cravens now up for the game, it was the same old tale, unlike the one's Paddy tells on the school bus!
As Cravens FC (fighting club) turned up the heat, Lynchy (Darral to his close friends)came under more pressure having to pull off some fantastic saves. More shots continued to rain down, with some of them alledgely coming from a drive-by on the estate.
As the game wore on Cravens FC (fighting club) equalised and then took the lead to end up 2-1 winners
Cartworth were perhaps a bit unlucky to come away without any points but at least there's next week!
