Holme Valley Academicals 3 v Cartworth Moor 2
League Game
With Fred struck down with a mystery illness, Cartworth had to scrape the barrel to find a suitable manager for the difficult return trip to HVA. Cartworth (the Leeds Utd of the Holme Valley) looked for guidance and insparation from Richie Howarth, but unfortunately they looked in vain.
So, just like Chelski, with the revolving squad system, Cartworth turned to the revolving manager system, and appointed Rich Barker for his first and last managerial role. With a Guiness Book of Records, world record, for the shortest managerial appointment, 3hrs 18mins, RB managed to lead Cartworth to another defeat, snatched from the jaws of a draw.
The game turned in a moment of pure insparation, in which RB took off star player Ronan to replace him with Pete! With minutes to go this allowed HVA to snatch the points.
On a more positive note the whole team played some excellent football, with goals from Tom Morton & Tratey. However the result should not see Fred tossing and turning in his bed.
