Actually you have nothing to do with all this jargon. You should, instead, focus on what you want your reader to get from the story and how you can achieve that artistically. In a word you must be creative.
For every story, there is a narrator that could be also a character in the story. When you write your story, you are the narrator because you are telling what happened as a witness of the events which you could participate in their making.
Every story has got
Sometimes you need to use the "Foreshadowing" technique before the climax to help the reader with hints to anticipate the resolution. Good writers use this technique providing disguised clues and the reader is not aware of their existence until he finishes the story. Professional writers use other techniques as well. Among the most common ones in story writing are flashback, soliloquy, irony, camera technique (close up or zooming), figurative language (symbolism, simile, metaphors, personification, onomatopoeia, degeneration, hyperbole) telescoping among others.
Finally, your first story might be mediocre, but it will pave the way for greater productions later on. Writing your first story is the evidence that you have a gift which needs improvement. One day you'll find out that you have a hidden talent when you become a best seller writer, who knows?! So, if you feel like writing stories, get started now without delay.
