Owner Bio: Mr. Kuchar fills the role of team owner, general manager, president, and coach for five different Franchise Football teams, two of which are named Owosso Thunder. Mr. Kuchar also owns and operates the New England Liberty, of the Independence league, and the Sydney Reefers, of the Masters league. After earning his fortune as a free-lance writer, the eccentric billionaire purchased his first franchise. From that day on the Owosso Thunder have been perennial favorites to win the old wooden plaque (trophy awarded to winner of four star league.) Mr. Kuchar is also the head of the grounds crew, and can be found every Monday morning cleaning the stands and making repairs to the field. Mr. Kuchar is a hands-on owner who demands perfection in every aspect of the Owosso Thunder Empire.
Team History: Paul Kuchar was born in Owosso, Michigan. The Owosso Thunder became Mr. Kuchar's first fantasy football franchise in 1992, in a league run by William Nartker II. After playing for two years as an owner, Mr. Kuchar founded the Kendallville Fantasy Football League (1994). The Owosso Thunder won two titles in four years. The Kendallville league is still in existence, being run by Chris Desper. The Thunder no longer participate in the Kendallville league. Also, in 1994, the Owosso Thunder competed for one year in the Rusty Fantasy Football League, and won. In 1996, Mr. Kuchar founded the Four Star League (named after the four founding members: Paul Kuchar, Bill Nartker, Jennifer Kuchar, and Mark Angel). The Four Star league was the first "keeper league" to be established in the area. Each year, each franchise could protect many of their players from the following year's draft. The Owosso Thunder have won five of the first seven Four Star Championships while leading the league in scoring six out of seven years! In 1997, Mr. Kuchar took over the Pocatello Speedsters, of the William Nartker run Genesis League. After the first year, Mr. Kuchar re-named Pocatello the Owosso Thunder. The Owosso have won that league twice in the first five years of existence.
Owosso Championships: 1994 Rusty's league Champion, 1996 Kendallville Champion, 1996 Four Star Champion, 1998 Kendallville Champion, 1998 Four Star Champion, 1999 Four Star Champion, 1999 Genesis Champion, 2000 Four Star Champion, 2002 Four Star Champion, and 2002 Genesis Champion.
