The Independence League Constitution
1A. The draft will be held on the 2nd full weekend of July. Any person involved in the Independence
League is exempt from drafting for another team. A person may draft for only one team.
1b. All
changes to the constitution require a yes vote by ¾ of the owners.
2.
The schedule will
be determined by the draft order of previous year. Draft order will be determined by a random
draw, one year in advance. Draft order
will reverse each round.
3A. THE
LEAGUE WILL BEGIN WITH THE KICK-OFF OF WEEK 1 AND END WITH THE FINAL SECOND OF
THE REGULAR SEASON. Entry fee is 35
dollars.
3B. Each week, each team will play two other teams. One “win point” will be given for each
win. Half of a “win point” will be given
for each tie. The team with the most win
points at the end of the year will be the League Champion. All ties will be decided by total points first,
and then by a coin toss.
3C. Award

4A. Each franchise may protect up to 12 roster positions from
the draft. The 12 roster positions will
be disclosed twenty minutes before the draft.
4B. IF THERE IS AN EXPANSION DRAFT EACH
FRANCHISE MAY PROTECT 2 LESS ROSTER POSITIONS.
4C. All E*OFFICE fees must be paid in order to participate in
the draft. If fees are not paid by the
kick-off of week the team may be taken back by the E*OFFICE. No line-ups will be accepted until fees are
paid in full.
4E. Two
minutes will be given to make each draft choice.
4F. A
PLAYER MAY ONLY BE DRAFTED OR PROTECTED AT A POSITION WHICH THEY ARE LISTED AT
BY 2 OR MORE CURRENT PUBLICATIONS.
4G. ALL
DRAFT PICKS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING.
NO SUBSTITUTE PICKS ALLOWED.
4H. NO
OWNER MAY DRAFT FOR ANOTHER OWNER.
5A. EACH
FRANCHISE MAY HAVE A MAXIMUM OF 23 ROSTER
POSITIONS. EACH FRANCHISE MAY HAVE A
MAXIMUM OF 3 QB=S, 6 RB=S, 6 WR=S,
2 TE=S, 2 K=S, AND 2 DEF.=S, ONE BONUS POSITION, and one
Injured Reserve position. To be placed
into the injured reserve position a player must be on the NFL injured reserve
list. Players may be moved to and from
the injured reserve list.
5B. A
STARTING LINE-UP CONSISTS OF A MAXIMUM OF 1 QB, 2 RB=S, 3 WR=S,
AND 1 TE, K, AND DEF.
5C. Final starting line-ups are due by the first kick-off Sunday
morning. If no line-up is submitted by this time, the previous line-up
will be used. If there is a Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday game then
players in those games must be started or pulled from previous line-up by the
first kick-off of each respective day. If a player from a Thursday, Friday,
or Saturday game is in the previous line-up and are not pulled by the first
kick-off of the Thursday, Friday, or Saturday game they are in, then that
player is automatically started for that week.
6A. TRADES
COST .50 EACH. WAIVERS COST 1.00 EACH.
BOTH ARE UNLIMITED.
6B. DRAFT
PICKS MAY BE TRADED INTO THE FUTURE.
6C. A
PLAYER MUST HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE FOR AT LEAST ONE DRAFT BEFORE THEY CAN BE
CLAIMED OFF OF WAIVERS.
6D. NO
TRADES OR WAIVERS MAY BE MADE BETWEEN KICK-OFF OF WEEK 11 AND THE COMPLETION OF
THE NFL REGULAR SEASON. THE WAIVER
HIATUS WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE COMPLETION OF THE NEXT DRAFT. HOWEVER, TRADES MAY RESUME FOLLOWING THE
COMPLETION OF THE NFL REGULAR SEASON, AND WILL BE FREE UNTIL THE NEXT DRAFT.
7A. All scores will be final after one week (kick-off).
7B. Any owner starting a player on the Injured reserved list, on
a bye-week, or out of the NFL owes $5/per.
7C. Each even-numbered week will be a skin week. The team with the high point total for that
week wins $10.
7D. Each team must put in $8 per year to pay for the skins
game.
8A. A franchise may only change their
team name During the Draft.

00-02 = 10 pts

03-06 = 7 pts

07-13 = 4 pts
