Ms.
Rains served as the protocol consultant to Kilgore College Rangerettes preceding
their trip to Ireland for the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Lord Mayor's Ball.
While serving in this capacity, she also assisted with the interview process for
the incoming Rangerette Hopefuls as well as supervised the officer candidates
with interview preparation and proper interview attire. Ms. Rains considers
being chosen as a 2002 Rangerette officer judge to be one of the highest
compliments regarding her knowledge and use of etiquette and image consulting
skills.
Extending her protocol skills still further, Ms. Rains served as the official
interview coach for Amy Lenderman, Miss Lufkin 2002.
Ms. Rains is a graduate of The Protocol School of WashingtonŽ. She holds a
Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and
a teaching certificate from The University of Texas at Tyler. She is currently
in her thirteenth year of teaching British literature and technical writing in
the Texas Public school system.
