John Smith, The "Flying Farmer" sucessfully completed his latest stunt on March 16, 2003. It consisted of leaving an 8 foot wide, 30 foot long ramp, set at an angle of 11 degrees, in an Olds Toranado at 80 plus miles per hour. The Toranado flew 92 feet in the air then crashed through a stack of 8 automobiles (2 deep).
Knocking off the top 5 autos before coming to a stop.
The stunt was done in front of John's house near Plaza, ND.
John was equipped with all of his usual safety gear.
A helmet.
A neck brace.
And a pillow between the shoulder belt and his body!
The Toranado was in no way reinforced or altered.
