About Me |
Past | ||
I was born and grew up in
Shanghai,
an international
metropolis on the east coast of China.
I love Shanghai very much
for its culture, its food, its history and its people.
I studied in the Special Class for Gifted Student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, which is one of the best engineering schools in China. Majoring in Mechanical Engineering, the most wonderful undergraduate major in my mind, I learned necessary mathematics knowledge, and cultivated analytical thinking and problem solving skills. That 4-year life is unforgettable and will be my treasure in my whole life. [back to top] Night View of Shanghai

Present | ||
After I lived my first twenty-two years in Shanghai, I spent 23 hours flying to the United States. I am currently a first-year master student in Department of General Engineering of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Champaign-Urbana is a typical university town, small and quiet. The life here is not as excited as in Shanghai, so I can focus on my study and research. I enjoy living here, although sometimes got bored. I work as a graduate research assistant to Professor Ali Yassine at the Product Development Research Laboratory. My research interests are modeling and analysis of product development process, supply chain coordination and inventory management, and product and process design for supply chain.

Interests | ||
I have interests on many things, but some things I do more often.
Sleeping: | ||
I can't do anything if I sleep less than 8 hours per day. Therefore, I rank sleeping as my No. 1 interest.
Sports: | ||
I love sports and tennis is my favorite. Not only do I love playing tennis, I am also enthusiastic on watching tennis match. I feel uncomfortable if I don't touch my racquet for more than one week. I am also good at playing soccer and table-tennis.
Surfing: | ||
Here I mean surfing on the Internet. Take my suggestion: Don't live somewhere with a broadband network connection, or ... ... ...
Movies: | ||
I like watching both Hollywood and Hong Kong movies. It is not only a form of entertainment, I can also learn many things from a good movie.
Eating: | ||
I am a gourmet. But now my pocket doesn't allow me to be picky on food.
