Mazda MX-5 Miata (J)

My first rear-wheel drive car, this one was chosen because of the drive-train, cost and performance potential. Miatas are well known in the real world to be good performers and many are modified. The image of a girl-car (sic) couldn't be farther from the truth, as many Miatas can be seen racing throughout the USA and other parts of the world. It's lightweight, has rear wheel drive and good looks. It cost only Cr16,900 when new and allowed me to run a couple of races, and it can also be run in the Amateur League 80's Sports Car Cup and the Roadster Endurance race. After adding the full suspension and racing transmission, the car comes alive, and the engine modifications keep it going strong. Great car.
