I've watched the tape a couple of times now. Things look
potentially good, obviously
i'm gonna complain about the lack of space and quality in sound cos overall that
did
stop every band that night from being themselves, maybe with the exception of
reeper
who provided their own sound. It's a shame our set got cut, but I think for our
first
gig we were able to rise to the level of performers and the people who came and
supported us telling us how great we were even if we weren't were cool. I wanna
thank them people,
taking their time and effort to see and support us, it means a lot. We nearly
didn't do
the gig, Rob was ill, and i wanna thank him for grinning and bearing it and
kicking out
the jams despite the fact that he probably felt like shit. I dunno bout the rest
of the
band but i got a great feeling performing, it was like certain senses didn't
matter as
long as you were having a good time, and that's what it was. A good time. The
cold meant
nothing to me and i couldnt feel it while the music was playing, I think
sensations like
this and a lack of nerves gives us the potential to make a name around the
southend music
scene in time. Of course everyone fucked up at some point, and unfortuantely
pointless
existance didn't have as much of a kick with the wrong drumming but the
important thing
is we kept playing for us and for others, good or bad, and I'm proud.
