Season 2004 / 2005

This season has had it's ups and it's downs. We started the season very poorly and lost our first 3 games and then got knocked out of the cup as well. It all started to change when we had a brilliant draw at home with Sir William Peel, it was the best game of Sunday league football I have ever seen. It started to look brighter for us winning the next 3, but it all went pear shaped! A disaster run cost us finishing in the top 3 this year, losing to teams at the bottom of the league. 5 straight loses and then we had a brand new kit brought for us and every thing started to change. Then we picked up the pace again and with the run in to the end of the season we had 5 win on the trott. Finally finishing 4th in the divison.

This Season we had 5 new players join us, who have made an amazing difference. Liam Parker who is solid at the heart of our defence, his brother Aaron with his work rate, speed and passing ability and Dave Parker with his experience of the game has helped me personally, and passed on valuable tips to the whole team. We then started struggling to get a side togehter, with players ethier injured or they were working. We had Liam Tinkler and Tom Ibbott join us at the start of December. Tom filling in at right back and has made the position his own, and Liam with his quaility on the ball they both made an amazing difference to our side and helped us push to 4th in the league.(Written by R Burrows)
