SPENCER TO DRIVE No. 66 AT MICHIGAN FOR PEAK PERFORMANCE

Michigan-Based Arbor Mortgage to Sponsor Veteran and Launch Promotion

STATESVILLE, N.C. – Peak Performance Motorsports announced today the appointment of NASCAR veteran Jimmy Spencer to drive the No. 66 Arbor Mortgage Ford Taurus next weekend in Michigan for the GFS Marketplace 400.  Arbor Mortgage will launch a promotion in conjunction with its sponsorship, offering to the pay one randomly drawn entrant’s mortgage for one year, contingent on Spencer’s finish.  Mike Garvey will return as the driver of the No. 66 at Bristol and is scheduled to complete the season with the team.

Entrants can register for the promotion at www.arbormortgage.com, beginning August 12, for an opportunity to win their mortgage paid for one year by Arbor Mortgage.  If Spencer finishes in the Top-10, a randomly drawn entrant will win.  For more information, visit the Arbor Mortgage website.

“We are thrilled to partner with Peak Performance Motorsports and Jimmy Spencer for the GFS Marketplace 400 at Michigan International Speedway, and potentially help a Michigan homeowner, at one of the biggest sporting events in the state,” said RJ Kistka, President of Arbor Mortgage.  “The partnership makes a lot of sense.  Jimmy has a long track record as a high-quality driver and person, and we have a long track record of helping our customers.  The promotion is an exciting way for us to help someone with a mortgage payment for a year.  We’re going to do everything possible to give the car a chance to win.”

“We’re proud to have Jimmy in our race car, and put Arbor Mortgage on the hood this week,” said Jeff Stec, team owner and president/CEO of Peak Fitness Clubs.  “This is a good opportunity for us to assess our program.  Jimmy is a proven winner in all of NASCAR’s top three series.  We are hopeful he can give the crew good feedback and help us as we work to grow our program.  We have been pleased with the results Mike has given us since joining the team.  As an owner working toward making improvements to the team, utilizing the skills of a driver of Jimmy’s caliber is a great opportunity for us.”

Spencer, one of only 12 drivers to win in the NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck Series, will attempt to make his fourth start of the season, and first with PPM.  This season Spencer is driving the No. 2 ASE Certified Dodge Ram full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and is a contender to win his first championship in one of NASCAR’s premier series.

“I was approached by Arbor Mortgage to drive for Peak Performance Motorsports and owner Jeff Stec at MIS and am eager for the opportunity to work together.  I’m really looking forward to it,” said Spencer.  “I’m going to do everything I can to help one lucky entrant get a paid mortgage for the year; this is a great opportunity for all involved parties.  Aside from working with Arbor Mortgage, I’m glad I can help Peak Performance Motorsports evaluate its program.  They’ve got great horsepower with Ford backing and Roush-Yates Engines, so I’m hopeful we can have a great run at a great track.
