9. Sign Compatibilities
How each sign relates to one another is of paramount importance when considering developing a relationship with another person for professional or personal reasons. Knowing a little bit about that person through his Sun sign and how his particular Sun sign will relate to each other sign in the zodiac will be of immense importance when considering how best to interact with another individual. It is important to keep in mind we all have free will to create our own destiny in any manner that we see fit, so Astrology should not be used as a tool to predict one’s destiny, but merely as a roadmap to guide a person along the path of least resistance to enable him to achieve the happiness and fulfilment in this life he is truly deserving of. In addition, there will be times when we all develop relationships with individuals who we are incompatible with, and such experiences should be used as life lessons to give us the wisdom and understanding needed to make the best decisions along our journey of self awareness.
Aries – Aries
When determining how best two Ariens will relate with each other, it is important to remember they are both very forthright in their opinions and will do what they want in order to ensure their own personal needs are met. If both Ariens want the same thing with regard to the particular situation that brought them together, a suitable alliance may very well be developed between their pair. If, however, they each want things that are contradictory to the other, problems may arise. Because they both have such strong personalities, they do not have any reservations about revealing to others, it is highly likely they would encounter a clash of personalities. Aries – Taurus

Aries – Cancer

The Leo has a lot of love to give and is therefore quite patient with the Aries, who may not have within himself the capability to love unreservedly. Basically, both signs have qualities the other lacks, which make for a cohesive relationship. It is important, however, the two signs acknowledge the other has qualities they lack and they will be much happier in the relationship. While Aries is a very egocentric, self-oriented sign, Libra tends to focus its energies on the attainment of the goals of the relationship as a whole. Aries – Scorpio
The Aries forms a lagging quincunx to Scorpio and both signs are ruled by Mars. Because both signs are ruled by a planet that has traditionally been associated with sex, rage and aggression, it is only natural to assume a rather volatile relationship is likely to arise from such a union. Because sparks are likely to fly when these two signs get together, they are likely to be initially attracted to one another, quite often caught up in a sexual chemistry that is clearly evident to all bystanders.

Aries – Sagittarius
Aries forms a lagging trine to Sagittarius. Because these two signs form a trine to each other, many opportunities for mutual growth will present themselves during the course of the relationship. It is quite likely they will get along very well because they are both very active signs that are not overly concerned about the consequences of their behaviour within the relationship. It seems this type of relationship can create a great deal of tension because both Aries and Capricorn like to be their own boss in their own individual ways. The Aries is very forceful in his endeavours and will exert a great deal of energy in getting his heart’s desire. The problem lies in the fact that he can use aggression at inappropriate times, which will not endear him to other people. The Capricorn is also a very forceful being, but has enough political savvy to know when to use his initiative, when to back off, and when to abandon a project altogether.
The Capricorn can teach the Aries to use his intuitive processes to a higher degree so he will be able to better judge the more appropriate times to act in what can often appear to be a period of stasis in a very volatile world.
Aries – Aquarius
Aries forms a lagging sextile to Aquarius, which indicates this combination is very propitious to opportunities for growth and advancement. This combination of signs is likely to form a very solid friendship that would be able to withstand the test of time.
Aries has a great deal of exuberant energy, which causes him to act impetuously at times. Although he possesses the initial enthusiasm necessary to initiate any project, he very often lacks the staying power needed to withstand the boredom that will inevitably set in. The typical Aries, therefore, will initiate many endeavours, but will see few through to completion.

Aries – Pisces

Aries can be very pragmatic in its approach to life’s many situations. Pisceans, on the other hand, are quite sensitive and can make a great show of concern even if they do not really feel it inside. They are quite adaptable, somewhat like a chameleon, able to detect signs of the times and modify their behaviour accordingly. The problem is because Pisceans are so good at expressing feelings they do not really enjoy, it is difficult for other people, as well as themselves, to be able to detect which emotions are genuine and which ones are merely thought forms they have picked up from others.
The Piscean can, understandably, teach the Arian that he will be much more endearing to others if he puts on a show of concern for others, even if he really doesn’t mean it. Who knows, after enough empathetic displays for the benefit of others, he may actually begin to develop genuine feelings of humanitarianism.
Taurus – Taurus
Taureans form a conjunction to each other, which indicates they are very similar in many ways. They are thoughtful people who take their time to formulae ideas, taking in all the facts before making a decision. They are very much focused on the Earth, and want to possess all of the nice, material things this world has to offer. They desire to possess property, cars, livestock and money that is afforded with a good standard of living. The positive aspect involving two Taureans is because they are in many ways alike, they know what the other generally wants out of life and can work together to achieve a common goal.
The downside of a relationship between two Taureans is they are both very headstrong individuals and may experience what can best be described as a clash of personalities when their desires are at counter-purposes to one another. When they do have difficulties, both individuals will be reluctant to budge from their point of view, which could cause difficulties in the relationship if they wish to co-exist in harmony with one another. Taurus – Gemini

Taurus – Cancer

Taurus has a deeply ingrained desire to amass great wealth and possessions in this life, and this is extended to having a nice home he can enjoy himself and entertain in. Taurus – Leo

Taurus – Virgo

In addition to the fact that Virgos change their mind often, they also have a great deal of difficulty making a decision because they fear the decision they do make will be an incorrect one. Because Virgos are loathe to make a decision, they will quite often marry late in life, it at all. The reason for their reluctance to marry is based upon their belief that more eligible marriage partner than the one they are currently with will come along. They feel if they are committed to someone it will be difficult for them to unite with the new person who they believe will enter their life, giving them eternal bliss. They may wait years; turning down may proposals of marriage, searching for their romantic ideal of their one true soul-mate in this life. After a while they will develop a reputation as a confirmed bachelor, and the opportunities for love will dwindle down to nothing if they are not very careful.
If Virgos have difficulty making a decision, they are loath to having children because they plain and simply do not want the responsibility. It is for that reason the Virgo is often called a barren sign.
Virgos are not well suited for positions of authority because they have difficulty making decisions and they do not care for responsibility. They are much better suited to positions working in a capacity of serving others because they can focus on their work and let someone else worry about those crucial decisions that require true leadership or managerial skills.
Taureans and Virgos generally make a good match because the Taurus is hard working and focused in what he would like to achieve in this world. The Virgo, given the right amount of guidance, will be able to help the Taurus achieve his goals, just so long as he is rewarded for his efforts.
Taurus – Libra

Taurus – Capricorn

The Capricorn is also very ambitious and aspires to a high station in his life. He sees work as a way to advance in this world, and is less concerned with material possessions than his station in life.
The Capricorn can therefore show the Taurean that work should be seen as a way to achieve one’s material and personal goals, and should not be undertaken merely for the sake of it. The Capricorn can help the Taurean to set professional and personal goals that he should aspire to.
Taurus – Aquarius
