I remember that song

REALITY BITES BACK

I saw the 1994 film Reality Bites for the first time last week.

At the beginning of the film there was a scene featuring the lead characters singing a song from Schoolhouse Rock.

The whole film is full of nostalgia, but that one scene stuck with me.  It made me realize--how far are we from being nostalgic about when we discovered nostalgia?  Or, put another way, when will "retro" become "retro"?  Is this Frank Zappa's "death by nostalgia" coming true all too soon?

Soon it will be all over.  And I will face death in the present.

Death to the nostalgic anti-retro backlash!
