• The Feminine Mystique- a classic, launched the second feminist movement
• The Bad Girl's Guide to Getting What You Want- couldnt resist. some may call it the anti femininst type of life style, but it isnt really, its just another amuseing Sex in the City Type
• Feminism and Youth Culture: Second Edition- about culture and how it effects teenagers

My Favorite Singers with Feminist Overtones

• "You Outta Know"- Alanis Morsette - great song, really really, good, download it.
• "What it feels like for a Girl"- Madonna - she says that she isnt a feminist, but this song is about women and the challenges we face in culture
• "Can't Hold Us Down"- Christina Agulara and Lil Kim- a shot at teh age old double standered that men can sleep around, but wome ndo and get called Whores
• "Leather"- Tori Amos- Not really a feminist song, but she talks about sexuality and the more women who do the better for our culture
• "She Bop" and "Girls just wanna have Fun"- Cindy Lauper- "She Bop" is about masterbation... we need more female encouragement to talk about that. "Girls just wanna have fun", we need more songs like that
