Clan Psychosis Rules and Regulations

Rules for new clan-members

  • All new clan members are accepted on a 30 day probationary period. During this period please take the time to get to know and interact with other clan members. We are a tight knit group and we rely on players working together and being team players in order to build the trust and comradery that has made our clan what it is today.

  • During the 30 day probationary period new members are not allowed access to the clan card banks. This is done for security reasons and there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.

  • At the end of the 30 day probationary period, Senior members of the clan will determine your continued status based on such things as attendance, attitide, and interaction. If we feel that you are doing well we will grant you full member status at this time giving you access to all the clan functions and amenities.

  • We ask that all new members post a short message in the clan Psychosis message boards under the thread "NEW CLANNIES POST HERE". You can find the message boards by going back to the Dark Asylum - MTGO clan Psychosis Homepage. Let us know a little about yourself and what you are looking forward to seeing in clan Psychosis.

Rules for clan-members to live and play by.

  • When you log into MTGO please make sure to enter the group chat room. (you can do this by typing "/join Psychosis" in any chat room (minus the quotes). This is very important! Repeated failure to join the group room or show social interactivity will be detrimental to your continued membership in the clan, so DON'T FORGET!

  • Check the Yard and The Dark Asylum regularly for news and updates on clan funtions and events. If you need to post a note please do so in one of our messageboards.

  • Try to be online 4 or more days a week unless you have other arrangements made with Nightmare or Swampwalker0069.

  • If you will be absent for a significant amount of time (3 or more days) POST A NOTE IN THE MESSAGEBOARD on our page.

  • Please turn on your "last visited MTGO" option so we can monitor your attendance. (To do this you will need to go to the settings option in MTGO, go to Account settings and change the setting to 'Buddies Only' or 'Everyone'. NOTE: If you choose to use the 'Buddies only' option please make sure to add all other clannies to your buddies list.)

  • NEVER trash talk another clan member. EVER.

  • Watch the language in games online when trashtalking opponents who deserve it. Never trash talk an opponent unless trash talked to FIRST. (Even then this is something we do not condone). We do not want to be portrayed in this light. Cuss and vent frustration in the clan room all you want.

  • Use common sense and don't do anything embarassing to yourself and/or the clan (constant whining, getting muted, acting overly cocky or arrogant, etc.).

  • Please talk to a clan captain before inviting anyone into the Psychosis chat room. This way we can gauge how well you know them before allowing them into our inner circle. We ask this for the protection and security of all in the clan against would-be thieves and other unsavory characters who might try to target our clan.

  • We STRONGLY suggest that you DO NOT share your MTGO account with anyone, unless you know that person EXTREMELY well and are comfortable with taking responsibility for anything that person might do while using your account. If you DO share your account and don't inform a clan captain, any problems that may arise from it will be your own responsibility and the clan WILL NOT get involved.

    The 1,2,3's to a trouble-free gaming experience.

  • 1. ALWAYS READ THE USER AGREEMENT:

  • E.G.: clanbot: This bot offers itself as a "clan tool" PROVIDED you agree to its "user agreement". It clearly states in the user agreement that clanbot tracks certain information and that the information tracked can be used for whatever purpose the owner wishes, although it does not specifically state what information it tracks. I have been in contact with the owner of clanbot via e-mail and he claims that, "The only thing clanbot could possibly track is whatever you PM it plus the times when you are on-line (it tracks this by itself). It doesn't use any passwords you can enter....."fishing" and identity theft is simply NOT POSSIBLE under these circumstances. If you choose to PM your account password to random accounts than this is hardly my fault (even though clanbot wouldn't abuse it if it were to happen). Also, in case you're wondering, clanbot doesn't trade, ever."
Below is a copy of the official user agreement that "clanbot" has. I STRONGLY suggest that you read it and be aware of what you would be getting into should you decide to use a bot such as this.

Before you start using clanbot, you need to read our users' agreement:

  • clanbot is made by jacQues (/addbuddy Magic.tg) and is a 100% free service for all users. clanbot nor jacQues are affiliated with Wizards of the Coast in any way.
  • Because of the many different parts that make clanbot work, continuity can never be guaranteed. jacQues also reserves the right to refuse access to clanbot for any user or to stop clanbot altogether, both without giving a reason.
  • Source and executables of all parts that make clanbot, are available for free to anyone with a WotC icon next to their name. This is meant to prove clanbot does not use any form of hack. All copyrights and rights remain with jacQues. If you don't have a WotC icon next to your name, don't bother...at all...ever!
  • By using clanbot you agree to the fact that you will receive non-WotC URLs and you also agree that jacQues cannot be held responsible for the correctness and/or contents of those web sites.
  • By using clanbot you agree that clanbot may save any information that could be retrieved, whether implicit or accidental, and that jacQues may use that information freely for whatever purpose.
  • By using clanbot you agree that all information, even the information that is meant to be "clan only", will be available to all clanbot administrators and all adepts who can ban clans and users. jacQues will not go into discussion over bannings.
  • By using clanbot you agree that all rules that Wizard of the Coast enforce also apply to clanbot. This is including, but not limited to, their clan naming policy.
  • Any attempt of abuse will result in a permanent ban to clanbot and may also result in an entry in infobot's user check command.
  • The spirit of this users' agreement supersedes the literal written word of same.
If you don't want your PM's logged DO NOT use clanbot. ALWAYS read the agreement (if there is one) and never assume it is okay.

  • 2. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS:

  • Just like the old addage goes, 'If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Many online scammers bait their victims with offers that sound great, or, 'deals you simply can't pass up'. Beware when trading, especially if you use such things as e-Bay or websites to buy your MTGO cards. Always keep records of your trades that include the uername of the person you traded with, what you traded an what you got in return. Take screenshots whenever possible. (This can be done by using the Prt Scrn (Print Screen) button on most computer keyboards, then simply opening the Paint program, Paste the picture, and save it. If your keyboard doesn't have a Prt Scrn button you can hit Ctrl + C to copy the screen and Ctrl + V to paste it into the Paint program). If you do ever encounter a scammer or online thief, make sure to report them immediately to the MTGO Adepts, Wizards of the Coast, and any other authorities necessary. Please send an email to Swampwalker0069 @: NorseWolfGod@hotmail.com, so that we can add that person to the scammer list. Make sure to include any screenshots you have taken so we can add them as evidence. People WILL NOT be added to our scammers list WITHOUT PROOF/SCREENSHOTS.

  • 3. REMEMBER YOUR MANNERS:

  • While playing Magic the Gathering Online, you will find yourself amongst a multitude of other players with whom you can interact. While one would hope that all players would be honest, courteous, and friendly, this is sadly not always the case. Occasionally you will find yourself faced with a player who is rude, childish, spiteful, dishonest, or otherwise unsavory. While these kinds of people make the game miserable for everyone, there is no reason to stoop to their level of hurling insults or acting a fool. And there is certainly no cause to go acting a poor-sport in the first place. Instead, greet each opponent with a "Hello and good luck" or simply "gl" and end each game with a "Good Game" or "gg". You'll be amazed at just how far a little common courtesy will get you. And in the unfortunate even that you do meet one of those unsavory characters, shrug them off, block them if necessary, and move on to the next game. No sense in paying them any mind in the first place.

  • Report any infringement of our rules to Swampwalker0069, N_i_g_h_t_m_a_r_e, or keyser_soze.

Violations of these guidelines will get you a warning. After one warning if it happens again you may be expelled from the clan and/or blacklisted.
