The History of ABN
ABN began in the spring/summer of '99. Rich and Matt had known each other for awhile through church and youth group and decided to get together and start jamming for fun. They played mostly(okay, okay...pretty much ONLY) MxPx covers and thought it would be a lot more fun if they actually had some of their own songs. Joel joined up and played guitar for them at the end of the summer. The search for a drummer was on. The first couple "shows"(if they qualified as such) were played with some sit-in drummers that just didn't quite fit. Then, Matt and Joel started talking to Nate(who had been the drummer in their old band, Towhead). Nate jammed with the guys a couple times and everything just clicked. The band's line-up was complete in late summer/early fall. They started writing songs and began playing a few shows at their church, Cornerstone. In February, 2000, due to some conflicts, Joel and ABN parted ways. ABN wrote more songs following the loss of Joel and recorded and album in July. They started having conflicts and in October 2000, ABN parted ways to Rich so he could persue better oppurtunities. Then ABN's unificial member Josh Jaudon has joined as guitarist. Some of you might have seen him play bass at then end of The Witness. Also, Matt Jones from Inspector 42 has joined on guitar also. All ABN wishes is to please keep them in your prayers because in the end of the circle pits, the punk rock, and the sweating until you feel like you are going to pass out, Jesus is the main focus.
