Friendship man charged in murder of Rose Hall cop
The suspect in the July
killing of Police Constable
Outar
Kissoon was yesterday brought before Acting Chief
Magistrate Juliet Holder-Allen to answer to the indictable charge
of murder.
James
Gibson, 22, of Friendship, East Coast Demerara, was
refused bail and has to appear at the Albion Magistrate's Court on
November 19.
Gibson is alleged
to have committed the offence on July 22 at Rose Hall, Corentyne,
Berbice, during an armed raid on the Rose
Hall Police Outpost.
Others who perished in that incident were Police
Constable Ramphal Pardat, 52, and Balram Kandhi, 17, a
delegate at the PPP
Congress
which had just concluded.
