After three long years, two heros finally found their selves back in Besaid, where all of their friends were staying.
"Wow," Tidus said, feeling choked up. "I can't believe I'm back." Tidus looked at Auron. "I can't believe we're back."
They were still wearing their nun robes, but Auron cloud tell, by the way his voice sounded that Tidas was almost in relieved tears. Auron smiled, feeling the same as Tidus. "It is amazing, huh?"
"Yes, it is. So what are you going to do first?" Tidus and Auron walked through the village, looking around for their friends.
Auron pondered that question, and finally came to a decision, "It's late. I don't think we should bug anybody yet. Let's go stay at lodge."
Tidus nodded, agreeing.
The two made their way over to the crusaders lodge. Tidus smiled and almost gave himself away, when he saw Luzzu asleep at the desk. "Excuse me," he tapped Luzzu on the shoulder, "we'd like to stay here tonight."
Auron snorted. Tidus's girly voice sounded so real. Maybe he was a girl in his past life.
Luzzu snorted away, and blinked up at the two nuns in front of him. "What? Oh, right, sorry sister. Just sign your names here." Luzzu shoved a piece of paper at Tidus.
"Thank you, son." Tidus said, trying his best to keep his laughter at bay. Hmm, what names should I write? Oh, I know. Hehe.
Tidus took the pen and wrote, Sister Serenity Zabac and Sister Gertrude Prude. Tidus smirked, handing the paper to Luzzu.
Looking down at the paper Luzzu snorted, trying to make it sound like a cough. "Um, thank you Sister Zabac and Sister Prude. Ur, who is who?"
Before Auron could say anything, Tidus pointed at him, "she's Sister Prude, I'm Sister Zabac."
With an amused twinkle in his eyes, Luzzu pointed to the sleeping quarters, "well enjoy your night."
Tidus nodded, "thank you, young man."
"Gertrude," Auron shook his head, "you couldn't give me a better, yonger sounding name."
Tidus giggled, "what, you're old," he teased.
"I am not," Auron huffed. "I'm only in my thirties."
"Kidding, kidding." Tidus yawned, "let's get some sleep."
Feeling just as tired, Auron nodded, "that's the best idea you've had yet."
"To bad we can't take these garbs off," Tidus mumbled.
"Oh, that would go over well. Luzzu would walk in here and have a heart attack."
Tidus 'hmmed,' "good point."
"Night."
"Night."
A few hours later, Tidus was still awake. "Gahh," he whispered, "I can't sleep." Tidus quietly stood up, leaving the lodge.
Wakka couldn't sleep. He kept having dreams of Tidus, about the last saw him, disappearing. I should of just told him. I wanted to, but Yuna was so upset. And there I was thinking she was upset because she loved him. And it was only because he was a good friend.
Sitting up in his bed, Wakka wiped at his face. "Crying," he sighed, "I always wake up with tears on my face." Wakka stood up, and quickly got dressed. "It's late but I need to take a walk."
Wakka quietly left his hut, carful not wake his guest. Paine was sound asleep on his couch. She didn't want to stay at Yuna's because the girl already had three guest. Baralai, Gippal and Rikku.
"Brr," Wakka shivered, his eyes on the ground, not looking where he was going. "Cold." Wakka sniffed, when a thought of Tidus flashed through his mind. More tears came to his eyes, and this time Wakka didn't stop them. He just let them flow.
His eyes now blurred with tears, Wakka didn't see the person, he was about to bump into. But he did hear the slightly feminine, 'ouch.'
Wakka looked down, his eyes going wide, "I'm so sorry, sister." He said. Wakka mentally cursed, he couldn't stop his waterworks.
The nun on the ground looked up at Wakka, and Wakka thought he heard a gasp.
"T...that's okay," the nun mumbled.
Wakka reached out, helping the lady to her feet. "I really am sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going."
A small hand reached out, gently rubbing at Wakka's tears, "that's okay. What's wrong?"
Wakka took a shuddered breath, "I don't know if I should talk to you about it."
"Why ever not."
Wakka sighed, "because I sinned."
The nun nodded, "I see. Talking might help you feel better. I won't judge you."
"O...okay," Wakka and the nun walked over to the temple and set on the steps.
"Tell me what's on your mind."
Nodding, Wakka took a deep breath, "I lost somebody I really cared for. Maybe even loved, I didn't get a chance to figure that out."
"And that's a sin," the nun said, sounding confused.
Wakka raised an eyebrow. Why did this nun sound so familiar? "Yes," Wakka said, still crying, "it was a guy."
The small nun let out a gasp. "Oh, I see. And did he return these feelings?"
"That's just it, he didn't know I felt this way. I think he might of liked one of my girl friends."
"I'm sorry," the nun whispered. "I wish there was a way for you to see this person again, so you could tell him."
"Wakka smiled, "thank you, sister."
"You're welcome." The nun stood up and started to walk away. "Oh," she stopped and faced Wakka again, "May I ask his name."
"Tidus," Wakka said, sadly.
Oh! My! Shiva! I did not just hear that!! I couldn't of. It was a dream. Yeah, that has to be it. My best friend, who is a GUY is not in LOVE with me. No, no, he said maybe love. But still. He looked so distressed. Was that really because he missed me? Even though I was freaked, I should of told him who I was. Wakka's a good guy, even if he is in love...like with me.
Tidus was back in the lodge, with a million thoughts running through his head. Wakka was gay, and he liked him.
"What will I do?" Tidus felt so confused. Why don't I feel disgusted? I mean, shouldn't I? Guys aren't supposed to like guys, are they? Tears of frustration fell down Tidus's cheeks. I really like Wakka. But do I really LIKE Wakka? I can't let Wakka know I know. Because I need to think, about my feelings for him.
The next morning, Auron walked over to Luzzu's desk and sighed, "we might as well tell you the truth."
Luzzu gave the nun a puzzled look. "What are you talking about?"
Tidus walked over to them, being very quiet. Auron shot him a concerned look, but of course Tidus couldn't see that.
"We," Auron pointed at Tidus, "are not nuns."
Luzzu scratched his head, "you're not," he said, sounding confused.
"No, the truth is....." Auron nodded at Tidus and Tidus nodded back, understanding. Both took off their nun robes.
"Oh, my," Luzzu shouted, fainting right into Auron's arms.
Auron smirked, "one friend down, a handful more to go."
