Tidus was still being uncharacteristically quiet, and now he caught the concerned look Auron was giving him, as he laid a still passed out Luzzu on one of the beds.
"What?" Tidus tried to make his voice sound normal. But of course it failed him, and sounded shaky.
Auron walked over to Tidus, after he made sure Luzzu was comfortable. "You seem upset. I may not show it, but I’ve grown to care for you. You’re worrying me, is all."
Tidus slightly blushed, and a small smile flickered on his pouting lips. "Aww, Auron’s being all human like."
"Okay, now you’re acting like your annoying self again...Good."
"H...hey!" Tidus started to pout again.
"I was kidding. Come on, tell me what’s really wrong."
"I... I." I can’t tell him. I’m not even supposed to know, myself. If Wakka didn’t tell me, I’m sure he wouldn’t want others to know. "Just worrying how people will react when they see us," he lied. Of course he was worried about that as well, but that wasn’t why he was being quiet.
"Oh, don’t worry. I have full use of both arms, and am ready to catch whoever feels like doing a Luzzu." He meant fainting.
"Right, good."
"So, do you want to go now, or what?"
Looking a Luzzu, Tidus walked over to him, "shouldn’t we wait, for him to wake up?"
"I guess...well yeah. He probably thinks we’re fiends, and if he wakes up and we’re gone, he’ll run around yelling fiends."
"Okay, I’ll take first watch," Tidus said, sitting down next to Luzzu. "If you want, go visit town...in your robe of course. See if you can find out if everyone is here. Yuna, Wakka and Lulu most likely will be. Not sure about Rikku, or Kimahri." DUH, I know for a fact Wakka’s here. He did confess his lov...LIKE for me. He said, maybe love. Maybe, maybe, maybe. NOT LOVE, only like. I can deal with this. I can, I can, I can! I have to. Wakka’s my friend. He can’t know I know.
"Okay." Auron noticed the dazed look on Tidus’s face, "hello? Spria to Tidus."
"Oh, huh," Tidus said, jumping. "Hehe, sorry, lost in la la land. What did you say?"
"I’m going to go to town, and do what you said."
"Kay."
Auron left leaving Tidus alone with Luzzu and his thoughts.
I’m so confused. I don’t know what I feel.
Auron watched as they walked in to Yuna’s hut, and had to bit his tongue, so he wouldn’t laugh out loud, when he heard a loud male voice exclaimed, "Gippal, I missed you."
Then he heard, "Baralai, we were only gone for ten minutes."
"So, I still missed you," Auron heard Baralai say, pouting, by the sound of his voice.
Auron shook his head and walked on, coming to a stop a few feet away from Lulu’s hut. Or at least it was her hut, three years ago.
"Can I help you sister," a voice spoke up?
Auron turned around to find Lulu eyeing him. "No thank you, just taking a stroll," he said, bowing.
"Oh, how long are you planing to stay sister..."
Auron grunted, "Gertrude Prude. Not sure how long I’ll be here." Tidus, I’m going to get you for giving me that name.
Lulu snorted, faking a cough to cover it. "Well, welcome to Besaid."
Auron nodded, "thank you, child."
Lulu smiled and nodded, "sure." Taking one last look at Auron aka Gertrude, she walked into her hut.
"Still asleep. I tried waking him, but we really shocked him."
"Kiss him, that seemed to work for sleeping beauty."
Tidus blushed...Okay, why am I blushing, over a comment like that? I DON’T LIKE GUYS! I just don’t. I mean, you’re not supposed to right? But Luzzu is cut...WHAT? SHUT UP! MIND JUST SHUT UP. "Auron! You know that’s just a old fairy tale!"
Auron noticed Tidus’s reaction but didn’t say anything. "Well I think it’d work. I know I’d wake up if somebody was kissing me."
"Well then you do it!" Tidus dared Auron, knowing he’d refuse.
Auron eyed Luzzu and had to admit he did look very kissable, so he shrugged, "fine I will."
"W...what," Tidus sputtered?
"I’m surprised, Tidus. I thought it’d be obvious that I played for the other team."
"M...meaning," Tidus asked, not quite understanding the ‘played for the other team’ bit.
"I’m attracted to men."
"O...oh."
"You’re okay with me being..."
"Gay?"
"Yes. Are you okay with it?"
"I...I uh, I think so," Tidus whispered, still in shock. "How long?"
"Hmm, what’s that?"
"How long have you known? You were...well you know, gay," Tidus asked, whispering ‘gay’
"Oh that," Auron scratched his head, trying to remember how long it had been. "Must be nearly fifteen years."
"Really?"
"Sure, I was in my teens."
"Oh." Tidus was getting over the shock, and found that he really didn’t have a problem with it. I can’t have a problem with it. Wakka is gay. And in...SHUT UP MIND!
"TIDUS," Auron yelled, knowing something was wrong with the boy. He had just slammed his hands over his ears and was muttering something to himself. Leaning closer to the boy, he caught what was being said. "Shut up, shut up, shut up."
Auron for some reason, knew Tidus was talking to himself. "TIDUS," he yelled again, shaking his shoulders. "Snap out of it!"
Tidus looked up at Auron, with wide frightened eyes. "I’m not gay."
"Tidus, you’re not making sense. I know you’re not gay. Why would I think that?"
"It’s not my fault if a guy likes me. It doesn’t make me gay," Tidus mumbled.
"Of course it doesn’t. Tidus I don’t like you, like that. I mean you’re cute and everything, but I don’t feel that way about you. So don’t worry about it."
Tidus fought the urge to blush. "NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT!"
"What, Tidus?" Auron was starting to get scared for the teen.
Throwing caution to the wind, Tidus pulled Auron to him and kissed him.
Auron pulled away, looking throughly confused. He looked at Tidus and noticed the tears streaming down his cheeks. "Tidus," he whispered, "why did you do that?"
"I had to see." I like it. I liked kissing a guy. So does that mean? I guess it has to. When I kissed Yuna in Macalania, I didn’t feel anything. I did now. I don’t like Auron like that though, but I enjoyed the kiss.
"See what?"
Tidus sighed, and began to tell Auron everything. I hope Wakka forgives me for telling.
A/N Yikes, I made him kiss Auron. Bad, bad ABR. Don’t worry, they won’t pair up. Please R&R!
