Baralai's Secret

Walking out of the shower her slender body dripping, Yuna dried her eyes, and tried to think of something else other then the small girl that was lying on her bed.

Going to her sink, she looked in the mirror, I’m a pretty decent looking person, surely I can find someone…that’s not my cousin, she though to herself. I mean look at my body, surly someone wants this. A blush crept up on her cheeks.

She raised her hands and gave her breast a squeeze, not to small, not to big. I’m pretty dang sexy, she thought with a small smile on her red lips.

“Yes, I’m sexy,” she said to the empty room.

“What, you’d say, Yunie,” a quiet voice asked from the bedroom?

Yuna jumped forgetting Rikku was still there, “Oh, nothing.” Yuna took a deep breath and walked out of the bathroom; she looked at Rikku, and smiled a faint smile, “just talking to myself.”

Rikku looked up at Yuna and choked, “Y…Yuna.”

“What,” Yuna asked?

“You have not dressed yet, and you’re soaking wet,” Rikku squeaked out, trying to avert her eyes.

Yuna looked down and her eyes widened, redness flushed her cheeks. Letting out a yelp, she ran back into the bathroom, breathing hard. I was so wrapped up in thinking I’m sexy, look at my sexy body, that when Rikku called me, I forgot I was undressed. Oh dear, how embarrassing.

Quickly, Yuna slammed the door shut. Breathing hard she slid to the floor. What is wrong with me! Yuna thought.

“Yuna, are you okay?” Rikku asked, when the silence was to much for her to bare.

“Um, yeah. I’m fine.” Yuna answered, standing up.

Grabbing a dressphere, Yuna hurried and dried off and got changed into her gun mage outfit.

Walking back out of the bathroom, she looked at the small form of Rikku lying on her bed. “Um, Rikku, do you want to go next,” Yuna said walking over to her dresser.

“Huh,” Rikku said jumping when she heard Yuna’s voice.

“The shower,” Yuna said, grabbing a brush, and running it threw her brown hair.

“Oh, right, okay,” standing up Rikku made her way past Yuna and into the bathroom. Seconds later, Yuna could hear the water running.

In Bevelle...

Paine turned to Baralai, “well, why did you want me to come here with you, Baralai? I caught your look,” Paine knew Baralai well and knew he wanted to talk to her.

“I...well...” Baralai started.

“It’s about Gippal isn’t it?”

Paine’s words surprised Baralai, but she was right. “How did you know,” Baralai asked, his cheeks flaming red.

Paine scoffed, “Oh, come on Baralai, anyone can see it.”

“T...they can?”

“Yes, you’re hopelessly in love with him,” when Paine said this, Baralai’s face got even redder.

“I...I wouldn’t say love.”

“Oh come off it. Hey I’m your friend and I can tell,” Paine said, smiling a rare smile, “but why did you not go with Gippal?”

“I don’t know how he feels about me, and I wanted to tell you and ask you...what should I do?”

Paine smiled another one of her rare smiles, “I say go for it.”

“Really. Okay I will...Next time I see him,” Baralai smiled at the though of telling Gippal and Gippal taking him in his arms and...

“Ooh, you’re thinking about something naughty,” Paine said, laughing at Baralai’s look of pure delight.

Paine shoutedinalarm when Baralai took her into a big bear hug, lifting her off the ground, “Hey, put me down!”

“Thanks Paine,” Baralai whispered in her ear.

In Luca...

A man handed something shiny to a young man wearing a eyepatch, “is this what you wanted sir,” the man asked.

The blond looked at the item, and smiled. “It’s perfect, he’s gonna love it.”

“Glad to hear that, Mr. Gippal.”

Gippal smiled and handed the man a handful of gil. “Thanks,” he said walking out of the shop into the streets of Luca.

Walking down the crowded streets, Gippal accidently bumped into someone, “Oof, sorry,” he said looking up at a young women.

“I know of you,” the women said. “You went with Lady Yuna and fought that big machina thing.”

“Yes,” Gippal said smiling politely at the women. “Please excuse me, I’m in a hurry to meet someone.”

Gippal left the women, and walked toward a airship, getting in, he paid the caption to take him somewhere.

Walking out of the bridge, he bumped into two people about to leave the ship for Luca.

“Uh, Paine, Baralai,” he called not quite sure if his eye were telling him the truth.

At hearing Gippal’s voice, Baralai’s heart started to pound. He turned around, and smiled, seeing Gippal staring at him. “Oh, hi Gippal.”

Paine, turned and nodded, “Hello.”

Gippal smiled and blushed when his and Baralai’s eyes met. “Hi guys. What are you doing here,” he asked, looking at Baralai?

Baralai flushed deep red, “well we were actually looking for you.”

“Oh,” Gippal smiled, and blushed when he noticed how Paine was looking at him and Baralai. What, does she know how I feel, heasked himself?

Paine took that moment to slip away, saying something about having to use the bathroom.

They were all alone and feeling very shy, but Gippal was on a mission. It just so happens he was on his way to see Baralai as well.

“So you wanted to see me?” Gippal asked, his hand in his pocket, fingering the shiny thing he had bought earlier.

“Um, yeah, I uh,” Baralai looked away from Gippal and took a deep breath.

Gippal took a step towards Baralai, “You know, I was on my way to find you too.”

Baralai looked back at Gippal, “you were?”

“Uh uh,” Gippal said, stepping closer. “Uh, I wanted to give you something...but I don’t know if you’ll like it.”

Baralai flushed, “Oh, I’m sure I’ll like it.”

“I hope so. Here,” he said taking his hand out of his pocket and handing Baralai the silver pendent he held.

Baralai shook as he reached out his hand and took the pendent. It was so beautiful, turning it over he saw that it had something inscribed on it. He gasped when he read it, and a tear fell down his cheek. To Baralai, whom I’ve fallen in love with, Love Gippal.

Baralai looked up, “you mean it,” he asked in a shaky voice?

Gippal, smiled and wiped the tear of Baralai’s cheek, “I mean it more then anything I’ve ever meant in my life.”

Baralai smiled, falling into Gippal’s arms. “Gippal, I’ve loved you for so long,” he cried, “I can’t believe you feel the same way.”

Gippal hugged Baralai close, and shed a few tears of his own. It seemed neither boys cared what others thought of their public display of affection, cause they were getting many different looks from the other passengers that walked by them.

Paine, who had came back into the room intercepted anyone that went to break up the boys, just by looking at them. No one seemed to want to upset the warrior.

“Uh,” Paine said, clearing her voice, to get the boys attention.

Both boys jumped apart when they heard her.

“Sorry to interrupt, but were almost at Besaid. I’m gonna get off there, do you guys want to join me?” She asked.

“Sure,” both boys said.
